i still use mine you either need a 3ds under 4.3 or cfw (luma)is acecard2i no good anymore? thats what I have I remember 2012 I could run on 3ds but the updates kept it out
then you use this guide and it will walk you through everything Flashing ntrboot (NDS) - 3DS GuideI have an old DS lite I can use... whats the link for cfw luma?
you actually have all you need to get setup. the guide will have you use the nds lite to exploit the ak2i then you will use the ak2i to install cfw on the 3ds then you can play 3ds "backups" directly from the systems sd card (like eshop games) and you will be able to play your ak2i in the unit as wellalso, these days what is the best flash cart for the 3ds and where to buy? I'm having a hard time- I guess this system is showing some age and a lot of information is from years back. I had a 3DS when it first came out and sold in summer 2012. a lot has happened to the system since...

correctoh my....really no need to buy a flashcart then?
not exactly it goes exploit the ak2i then use it to exploit the 3ds then your 3ds will be able to play itjust update and reboot the current one?
the bigger the better . . . sd cards 64gb and larger will need to be formatted to fat32 first (i have a 128gb in my 3ds and about 200 games/apps installed on it [note. after 300 the system no longer displays new apps/games])(prehaps a new sd card?)
by following 3DS Guide - 3DS Guide if anything is too complex feel free to pm me (or ask here, or create your own thread about the issue)damn, we really have come a long way... so then how-
officially ak2i only supports nds/dsi and 3ds 4.3 and under systems but cfw allows them to be unblocked on 3ds for any fw (there is even a homebrew app to use flashcards that never worked on 3ds at all like the original r4)I don't understand, I thought these old carts only supported NDS and nothing beyond?
not only can he restore his flashcard but there is no need to use stage_two for ak2ionce you have CFW you can use a stage 2 launcher to get into the cart, while it still has the ntr flashed to it.
but it looks like it can always be switched back...That's quite handy. not having one, i didn't know.
that said, it will not work on a DS after the flash.
correctbut it looks like it can always be switched back...
nintendo cant "fix" this without changing the hardware . . . so to answer your question yes it will workso does this still work with the current firmwire released last sept? I'm guessing yes cause its a deep exploit?
Also keep away from the flashcarts from r4i-sdhc.com, I recently got myself an R4i SDHC 3DS RTS (No years printed anywhere) and it turned out to have a time bomb. I can even provide video proof if anyone wants to see that. Before you ask, no mine wasn't a fake card, I already checked it in the "Truth Inquiry" section of the website. The cart "expires" in the year 2020.This thread is ridiculous. To play on a 3ds it goes as follows.
Best: SCDS2
Best for the Money: R4i Gold
Outdated but ok: AK2i
Don't touch with a 10 foot poll: Any R4 Clone that has a year printed on it.
Sticky it, you're covered.
Acekard 2iCurrently good choices maybe are R4i gold 3ds plus and Ac3ds X. Support ds games and an easy way to switch between DS/NTR mode.
Also add:Acekard 2i
R4i Gold 3DS RTS
R4i Gold 3DS Plus (RTS)
SuperCard DSTWO
SuperCard DSTWO+
Ace3DS Plus (Wood kernel)
Ace3DS X (Wood kernel)
Those are the best DS flashcarts. None of those contain time bombs either so that's a plus.
No that has a time bomb. Also add:
R4i Duel core from r4isdhc.com.cn
I am talking about with official stuff. Without the hacked kernels and all that it does "expire".no that does NOT. it runs hacked wood 1.62, same as Ace3ds+
