Hi,

I want to play my NDS games on my O3DS (old 3DS, like very first model). I've read that NDS roms run on some kind of emulation and are not perfect and read bits on apparently it's possible to use a flashcart like DSTT to play NDS roms. Is it? I'm currently on custom firmware (I don't know the specifics, I followed "https://3ds.hacks.guide/") so I don't need DSTT for ntrboot (I think that's what people use flashcarts for), I'm just interested in running DS roms.

Thanks!

p.s. feels great to post on this boards again!

You can use the DSTT on your 3DS, but you do have to launch it through NTR Launcher

Thanks. I was reading about TWLoader (which seems is now called DSiMenu++?). How are these different? Also how will the performance and compatibility be? And since I'm very new to this, please give me some info on how to use these.

Also do I need to change firmware of my DSTT? It's currently working on my DS Lite.

Thanks.

I know TWLoader used to be able to work as a forwarder for flashcarts, but I actually don't see anything about that on the DSiMenu++. I could just be missing something, I haven't had the chance to test it because I was waiting for some issues to be fixed before testing it.
You won't need to change anything the DSTT, you just need to install NTR Launcher on your 3DS.

install DSiMenu++ and see yourself. :)

its pretty good now and improving every day
I was actually planning on testing it this weekend. I was just waiting for the save issue to be fixed, which it has been fixed.
On that note, does it still have the flashcart forwarder option?

So to install it on my CFW old 3DS, I need to
  1. Extract/overwrite the _nds folder, and boot.nds file, to the SD card root.
  2. For DSi CFW users, put title from CFW - SDNAND root folder, onto the SD card root.
  3. On 3DS, install the two CIAs in the cia folder.
And skip the 2nd step? (Steps taken from this page)

  4. Install DSiMenu++ Launcher, and launch it.
  5. Set some settings (Boot screen, Notif LED, etc.) to your preference.
  6. Select "Start DSiMenu++".

Thanks for the steps. I did but after running DSiMenu++ and "Start DSiMenu++" button, shows a splash screen it went white and froze. I tried a couple more times and finally loaded but in my DS game, the top screen is still white.

All I did was to copy those files and install 3 CIA files, two for DSiMenu and one for launcher.
