Any DS flashcart that is recommended for latest version here https://3ds.guide/ntrboot since they have to work to use them to mod your 3DS.

so any of these cards need to mod the 3DS to work ? is there any card that does not need the 3DS to be moded, just want to play DS games and capture them, but if is not an option, will try to get a DS lite instead and still use my DSTT

Yes (if it says it works on latest firmware - not sure if it mentions any that you would need another console or a DS to flash).

In the case if you did had a nnid, not sure if contacting Nintendo would do much since you had custom Firmware on it before it brick, they might or might not grant the nnid transfer, never contacted them about an nnid linked to a cfw 3ds myself. If you are gonna contact them, contact them before setting cfw on the new unit. They will asks about some games you purchase before on the eshop, so there are some thinking involve if you don't remember what games. Tikshop and cia angel installed games via eshop doesn't count toward this.

In 11.8, the way the network install manager works is that if the nim detect a fake ticket it sent an encrypted list of tickets to nintendo, that is a way people get ban on 11.8 console. Cia angel/tikshop ticket method actually doesn't show you actually owned the game, it just allow you to download the games as if you purchased them legally. Too bad they patched all these thing related to tickets and eshop.

Game save are encrypted by default, if you never decrypted using JKSM or Checkpoint then they aren't accessible.

When an NNID is moved, only games actually bought will move. If you didn't buy anything with that NNID I would not bother. The CIAngel tickets are only local to the console, the NNID is server side so it has no knowledge of games your console thought it owned.

You can use JKSM to backup saves and restore them. You'll need homebrew access on both consoles.

Well explained guys. Thanks a lot. In fact I've suffer so much on this process of switching motherboards between the devices that I'm tired and wanting to have the least effort for now on. I spent all last night and part of this one doing that. While having to work by the day. I've broke the flat cable connector of the analog stick and was trying to figure out how to work around. This shit it's made to break if you just breath close.

Now I finally fixed it. I'll not bother with saves and stuff. I'll just hack this new system and get my games back. Geez what a week.

FreeShop won't work at all, except for some third party titles (which will probably also stop working at some point). You'll need to download the cias and install with FBI.

Some times top LCD flashes green one time it's flashes green then red but no luck so far ...

Is this just luck based and I need to keep going or is there something wrong ?

I'm fairly ignorant on this topic of 3ds hacking, but I would like to ask a question.
I've heard that playing pirated games online such as Monster Hunter 4U/Gen on a 3ds with CFW on it, will net you a ban. (not sure if this is true, it just what i've heard.)
So inquiry; does playing legally obtained 3ds games online on a console with CFW on it also get you banned or are you safe?
I am asking for a friend and do not know the nature of his 3ds's CFW status.

Aditional info: [There are too many variants and i just found out today about the r4i cartige, like i said i just want to play pirated games, if there is no option for that cartrige, and cfw is the only solution, i would like a intro in new3ds moding as there are to many software variants, and i have no idea at all.]

If you want to play 3DS games you will need custom firmware. With the DS flashcart and no CFW you can only play DS games. Follow https://3ds.guide/ntrboot if you're going to get a DS flashcart anyway, it should be fairly straightforward, ask here if you have any difficulty with any of the steps.

OK so will have to put CFW, as i understand that is only possible with a cartrige, right?
i saw the table with the different flashcarts, tho many had timebombs, and the others had fishy description, which one would you recommend me getting?
Note: i have not yet purchased my console, therefore i do not know the os version number.
