@Xandecs
Looks like something went corrupt :s
Have you tried downloading the CTCaer hekate again, a different cable (or does it work fine with other stuff)?

What's weird to me is the CTCaer logo is intact :/

Thanks, I tried it with NXLoader on Android and a different cable, that works perfectly. I think it was the long cable I used with my pc. Still strange though haha. :P

@Xandecs
Glad I was of help :)

Edit.
@CTCaer
I'm sorry if I'm being a nuisance, but are you sure restoring backups restores everything?
I just restored Boot 0/1 and raw GPP and indeed my saves were gone, however the time was correct...
The switch hasn't been online in 5 months, so synchronization trough the internet is out of the question...

@Draxzelex
If all goes well, I'll update Xenoblade chronicles 2 and Monster hunter Generations ultimate and we'll have a baseline to see if you get banned for only using checkpoint (and modifying a singleplayer save game) and no piracy.

  • Backup speed is now faster, by having bigger write speeds.
I assume this is for BACKUP NAND? and if so, is RESTORE NAND faster too then?

I've ran into the same issue as you. i see no logs on sd and i still see error messages in settings, however i have the latest SDFiles (8.0.1).
This concerns me so i want to restore my nand (5.1) but i know this isn't going to fix the problem of error logging so i want to clear that up first.
I'm getting the same error when launching atmo payload but "cfw" payload and reinx work fine.

@Paperjin
Restoring NAND should be the only thing you'd need to do (if it was before using CFW), to get rid of errors.
Errors are normal though, got some from Bayonetta 2, for not being able to go trough the matchmake process (time out errors).
I don't see the two/three errors from the album though, but I don't know if CFW/hack related errors would be shown in a user visible location, if I were Nintendo I'd not show them at all, or maybe they would as a "fuck you, we've got you the next time you go online"? :/

@CTCaer
What does the default "launch->CFW" launch?

Good question, i have no idea. how do i check?
Edit: i know it's not like the payload because the animations are way different.
All the above can be answered in the appropriate cfw or sd files thread.

Clear logs is deprecated. Instead, pm.kip to disable error report services is used and creport if you want custom reporting into sd card.

So, I've come so far as to use TegraRcm and inject the payload. But when the Switch screen comes on, the text is unreadable. :( I can't find what's causing it, can someone enlighten me please?
Probably a corrupt payload. Redownload.
If that's not the case, for some reason tegrarcm has a problem with the buffers.

I'm so confused. So could I use this to run RetroNX? Or do I have to download something like TumGER sd files to run a cfw, then run the hbmenu, then run retronx?

If you don't know what you're doing, your best bet is to go grab the SD Files pack and copy-paste its contents to your SD card.

Ok back to asking crazy (but informative) questions.

So presumably scene members are working towards figuring out an Emunand type situation so we can have OFW/CFW capability. After what you told me about the Nands great performance, (I am happy N went that route as surely is high speed and burst speed are reasons why HOS runs so nicely) I am wondering if Emunand on the SD card is going to make the OS sluggish?

In light of that, would it be possible to somehow split the Nand and then have it boot essentially parition 1 when it boots OFW (using the default start sector) and then when using hektate have it start partition 2 for CFW (at the redirected start sector). This might be tight with the default 32GB Nand, but in our prior conversation it sounds like NAND size upgrades are quite possible.

What I am wondering is if essentially a DUAL boot solution wouldn't be easier to implement (if its just redirecting the start sector) and better than SD emunand?

Not so much. HOS does not read all the time from there. You'll notice stuff, but not at a problematic level (especially if you have a U3 card).

Yeah you can split your nand physically or logically.
Easiest way is logically and can be done already.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

    They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
    It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.
