Never ever follow video guides. They are outdated the moment they are published and not made by any trusted developers. Always follow text based guides such as this one.Hi there,
I'm looking for confirmation that i have everything I need to hack my switch. I'm following the Ultimate Noob Guide and my only objective modding the switch is to gain the ability to transfer saves. I will try to avoid getting banned but I don't really do anything online other than game updates so it's not that important to me.
I have a jig 3D printed from work with some speaker wire ready to go along with a Type C adapter cable.
I'm going to use TegraRcmGUI for the payload injection and my switch is a XAW7000 series so it should be good to go.
I'm going to use fusee-gelee with the Kosmos (Atmosphere) Defaults package. This includes EdiZon which I believe is what I need for the save transferring.
I'm using the walk through here: to do the whole process.
So is there anything I have missed? Is EdiZon the correct app for save transfer or is there something else I should use?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Are you using the latest Hekate?Hey, I've successfully downgraded from 9.0 to 4.1.0 using a NAND backup. I can boot into OFW using hekate fine but I'm still getting the sleep mode freeze bug. I've checked my fuses and hekate says "Burnt Fuses (ODM 7/6: 5 - 0)" in orange letters. AFAIK this is the correct amount for booting into 4.1.0. Any idea as to what I'm doing wrong?
There is no official guide for this as this is just something I always had an idea would work but never tested. One thing I would add is that I didn't just download Hekate. I grabbed Hekate from a package that I built using sdsetup. Whatever goes in the package doesn't really matter as long as Hekate is one of the items in the package. Thanks alot for your reply!
Could you also please show me the tutorial you followed to set up emummc?
I don´t want to mess anything up, a step by step guide would be really great
Updating hekate fixed it,Thanks! Are you using the latest Hekate?
So I got everything installed that the Ultimate Guide recommends along with Awoo to use with the NS-USBLoader. Just got a couple of questions:
1) What is the best app to use to rip my game carts.
2) The Noob Guide says that to launch homebrew hold "R" down but on my switch I have to hold "L" down to access the menu and when I hold "L" and click on an installed game nothing happens, thats why I asked about the user profiles, I didn't know if having a user profile was messing something up. What I need to know is how to launch Awoo NOT in applet mode because its giving me a warning that it may not work right in applet mode.
Don't worry too much about it. The latest update which is 1.1.1 only fixes the duplication bug so its not necessary to install.I've got an issue regarding updating ACNH on Atmosphere 0.10.5E.
I'm currently on 9.2.0 and I'm using the fork that's suited for Tinfoil use, with the Fusee payload so I know that shouldn't cause any issues. Going from there, here's what's going on.
When I update my game via NSP, I get a "failed to read NSP metadata" message. I've confirmed my sigpatches are correct (9.1.0 had no change to 9.2.0) and even tried using HBG to get a download to the patch. When I download it there, it takes a while (on a 13MB patch it shouldn't take over 1 minute) and then it just abruptly closes the download window about 1/4th of the way.
Continuing, I checked the version and I'm still on 1.1.0 and HBG/Tinfoil says I completed the download but there's still an update on there for the game.
Using Goldleaf didn't help either as it locked up as soon as I tried to install the NSP.
That's not the issue I'm really worried about. In order to play online, I'd need to have 1.1.1, which I can't update to, even if it's local. Dupes are still easy to get. Thanks for the fast reply though!Don't worry too much about it. The latest update which is 1.1.1 only fixes the duplication bug so its not necessary to install.
Try using another title installer such as Awoo Installer. That's not the issue I'm really worried about. In order to play online, I'd need to have 1.1.1, which I can't update to, even if it's local. Dupes are still easy to get. Thanks for the fast reply though!
Failed. Invalid NCA magic???????????Try using another title installer such as Awoo Installer.
At this point, I'm convinced its a bad dump.Failed. Invalid NCA magic???????????
With all my installs failing, I'm worrying that I screwed my switch somehow.
I was kinda hoping you wouldn't say that. It's odd though that HBG would have a bad dump like that and it gets no notice. Where did everyone else get their NSPs at lol. It's not the first time I've had issues doing this so I don't know if I have something that's screwed in the tiniest bit or if I'm just that unlucky with it.At this point, I'm convinced its a bad dump.

Sounds like you need a coughdrop my friend! Was totally rhetorical as I was looking elsewhere for the next file but I guess that's my new location!cough WarezNX cough
The Sweet patches are for Fusee while the Kosmos patches are used with Hekate. Not sure if this is a noob question but I am getting the "error code 0x00234c02" when trying to install certain titles using Awoo. I have installed the "sweet patches" and found this set of kosmos patches but I am not sure which ones to use. There is a lot of acronyms I don't understand since I am new to the switch modding scene. Any insight would be fantastic...
When I say Hekate or Fusee, I am referring to the bootloader or payload you use to load Atmosphere not the exploit. The same exploit is used to load both Hekate and Fusee.Eh, ok I used the Fusee exploit to hack my switch (I think) but I am using the Kosmos/Atmosphere/Hekate CFW files. I am just a little confused, which ones should I download then?
