How can you say that....??? Past experiences showed that support and updates from companies making modchips, flashcards and so on are not reliable...it is the shady business they are in.
3DS gateway and stargate and a lot of ds flashcards, wii mod chips .... and I know that there are CFW for all these but just to make a point.
When Nintendo finds a way to block sx modchips or dongles or newer games have some way of detecting modchips and fail to start, the sxos-business plan falls apart and so does support.
yes you mean the dongles they cannot block on a hardware level which forced them to update the swithc hardware to patch out the RCM exploit.
or the current modchip they made when the switch was mostly blocked with mariko units.
Or you mean to current bypass which runs on a hardware level aswell for mariko units and cannot be fixed without another hardware revision. (so currently 57million units are affected)
or the fact it supports payloads ( that need updated to work at this moment)
so when they are you can boot other custom firmwares which will have their own updates
wii didnt really have a modchip scene because the cfw scene was really strong with bypasses early on and they required updated constantly
3ds gateway worked all the way to end of life even if it was crappy but it had bad support from the get go
you know like the brick code they included so clones did that.
stargate was a meme that was made when 3ds was EOL with ntrboot being around
yes the 3 objects you compared had custom firmware that worked on all systems easily that anyone could access (from an early stage)
which is why they didnt sell as well, in this case its a modchip.
also the price on these are fair considering you get the chip sxos license and etc.
£40 for a modchip is cheap and also gives you auto rcm
the homeade auto rcms are like £15 each for an adafruit etc
tell me more about how sx hasnt been active and will die quickly if anything they just leaped forward bounds again.
