Homebrew Is it possible to update my 3DS firmware without bricking it? (B9S, Luma3DS)

I tried to update my 3DS firmware while having Luma3DS and it had bricked, so I was forced to re-flash the firmware to unbrick it.
Is there any way to update it without bricking it?

U didn't "brick" at all u just need to update to Luma3DS v10.2.1 then update the 3DS

maybe try updating the ctrnand, removing the sd card, then seeing if you get the arm 11 error.
I'll try it now

I just rebooted it and it worked, I'm just going to try with my SD card inserted.
It works and it fixed my issue with TWilightmenu as well.
