I am at a loss. I have an Old 3DS that I installed CFW on a looooooooong time ago. When I hold select and press the power button it loads up Luma 6.6. I am trying to follow a guide to update this to something compatible with my current update of 11.14.

My issue is at one point the guide says to hold Start and press power and it will load and allow me to select GodMode9. However when I do this step it immediately loads up Hourglass and has a pic of of a dragon and gives me some SysNAND options of backup and restore and such.

I went into the files and I have 3 files in the Luma>Payloads folder. One is named something about safe something, another is GodMode9.firm and the other is start_hourglass.firm I searched some forums and they recommended changing the hourglass to "up" instead of "start" and adding "start" to the Godmode file. Did this and now when I hold start and press power it just boots to the normal 3ds home screen. I tried taking out the hourglass file all together and it didnt boot. I put it back in but no matter what I do I cant seem to get to this Godmode screen I see everyone using.

I even wanted to try and erase all the CFW and start fresh but the guide says I have to be in Godmode to be able to do that! lol. I am not the best with this kinda thing but if there is anything someone might have me try id be willing to follow directions intently.

Thanks for reading this I appreciate the time.

I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start

But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
