Gary wasn't just the PR person. He was the shipment operator. So Nintendo got him good on it.
Gary used his company O-P-A for the delivery. Thanks to 01media it wasn't hard to figure out.

Odds are that TX did not even create xci loading, they most likely paid an independent developer for that feature.
And even that isn't their work. Xci Loading is stolen code from nintendo. That's why it will never be implemented into Atmosphère. Either way, it requires sig patches. Also not included into Atmosphère.

This is 100% false. They used Atmosphere code because they could not do their own coding. If Atmosphere were never released, SXOS would not exist.
Do you have any evidence to show that they can not do their own coding? How can you say that SXOS would not exist if it weren't for Atmosphere? It's just conjecture. Max Louarn, the alleged leader of TX has been in the hacking scene for over three decades. With his knowledge, connections, and wealth I'm sure he could get something put together if there wasn't an open source project to lean on. He was also allegedly behind Gateway 3DS too, which like it or not was the first team to get CFW running on a 3DS. The open source scene only got CFW running after they reverse engineered Gateway's kernel exploit.

Just like they have attempted to bribe homebrew developers to only support SXOS.
Of course they're going to want their homebrew to be exclusive to their platform but there's no reason to think that TX tried to gain a monopoly over homebrew apps. TX donated to the prize pool for GBATemp's 2018 homebrew contest as did Axiogame (which is allegedly owned by Max Louarn who is allegedly the leader of TX). If TX wanted to only have homebrew on SXOS why not have their own contest with a bigger prize pool but make SXOS exclusivity one of the conditions?
https://gbatemp.net/threads/gbatemp-homebrew-bounty-2018-switch-edition.518654/

Like I have stated before, TX are not developers, they are nothing more than a name.
Just because a company pays someone to make something doesn't mean they aren't developers. Are you going to claim that Apple didn't develop IOS because they paid people to do it?

And even that isn't their work. Xci Loading is stolen code from nintendo. That's why it will never be implemented into Atmosphère. Either way, it requires sig patches. Also not included into Atmosphère.
XCI loading wouldn't require sigpatches because as far as the system is concerned there's a real cart in the slot. The data it sees when an XCI is mounted and when a cart is inserted is 100% identical, unlike when you install an NSP. Additionally XCI loading couldn't have been stolen from Nintendo because Nintendo doesn't have any XCI loading code, why would they even need it? During development they use NSPs which they install via dev menu and when they do need to load a physical cart they have special writable game cards that they can physically insert. What was stolen (according to hexkyz, I haven't verified this myself) were keys, card certs / headers, and the game card slot (Lotus) firmware. The Lotus firmware isn't even code though it's a precompiled binary that they embed.

Edit: Emending the Lotus firmware isn't enough to just load XCIs either. There's a lot more to it than that. If all they had to do was just distribute the Lotus firmware any idiot with the ability to dump it could have gotten XCI loading to work on Atmosphere by now as easily as sig patches.

TLDR: there's a CFW called SXOS with the name TX on it that supports XCI loading. There's also another CFW called Atmosphere which does not support XCI loading.

Take your own conclusion folks.

I think if OP no longer has anything else to offer, they should close the thread rather than deviate from the topic.

And Xecuter had the luxury of hiring engineers, they are not a herd of amateurs. The simple fact that someone managed to hack the way they knew was the only way to "generate a license", hacks their stupid business.

So I was able to generate a license file and I put it on my switch and I get an error that says the key doesn’t match my console? Any advice? Thank you

Hi guys, i've been through real s** this week, hope someone can help me

I have a Switch Mariko (2018) with modchip and i was trying to migrate from SX OS to Atmosphere, but didnt backed up my license files and lost it

Atmosphere only goes black screen here, so i went back to SX OS and my last hopes are on cracking this thing. I cant buy another license because their website doesn't work anymore

what do you guys recommend?

I wish the tx website and switch activation wasn’t broken as i own an official sxos pro
The TX site where you activate your license seems up, the sites where you used to buy the license are the ones that are down.
So if you have a license at hand you should be fine but remember that you can't use the same license for different consoles since the license stays tagged forever to the console you used to generate the license-request.dat required to be uploaded to the TX site along with your license activation code.

I'm not totally sure on this but I believe that if you have the license code that you bought (check your email if they sent it to you by mail) you can generate the license-request.dat from the same console that you did in the past and request a working license.dat again from the TX site.

XCI loading requires a set of patches to the firmware, they shipped the entire binary but you could implement it a different way.
I'm not sure why it needs sig patches if the dump is complete.

Do you have TX contact? Like an e-mail, anything

their website is not working
Atm the TX main 'hub' site appears to be down but the SXOS site where you activate the license is up, if you cannot connect to it, it's because you are trying to access the wrong site or your ISP is blocking it.

I will not post the site link here because I'm not sure if that is allowed, but you can easily search for it yourself.

edit: i however did not test myself if their license activation server is working or not.

It’s not that I can not connect to it, the website just gives me an error when I upload the file hence I’m not able to type in my activation key

lol no. You are bending the truth. A select few people had ARM9 code execution long before Gateway even appeared. Years after when Gateway came out other people started reverse engineering their exploit chain and that's when the ball started rolling. More and more people got access until it leaked. They are not the first to have a CFW or even just code execution but they certainly kickstarted it all outside of private circles.

TX doesnt have to much under their belts in terms of exploits. From the xbox classic days till now. They 90% of the time copied and pasted their way.

Ok, that doesn't change the fact that they built a CFW before there were any open source alternatives to steal from, which is what that comment was in reference to.

This is 100% false. They used Atmosphere code because they could not do their own coding. If Atmosphere were never released, SXOS would not exist.

I copy 3.1.0 boot.dat then rename to boot_ori.dat in the folder of script.
SX_License_Hack_Spoof.py would generate boot.dat and license.dat
I copy boot.dat and license.dat into my SD card.
But Switch always shows boot.dat error.
