IT WORKED, I COULD RUN SGB ENHANCED MODE. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT ACTUALLY WORKED :'D I COULD RUN BOTH GB AND RETROCOMPATIBLE GBC GAMES WITH SPECIAL FEATURES. FOR EXAMPLE POKÉMON YELLOW AND POCKET BOMBERMAN RUNS VERY GOOD AND WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. AND NAMCO GALLERY RUNS TITLE MENU COLOR AND AN ENHANCED MODE FOR ANY GAME. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, AND I HOPE YOU CAN RELEASE AN STABLE KERNEL VERSION SOONSGB support already done in last year's beta, also in this 0918 beta.

This version is close and most things are in a usable state
I just built two more nearly identically specced GBC and have continued to have success. To date, I've updated four GBC to 1.05e using a PNY 32gb microSD with 100Mb/s read speeds.I wanted to share with everyone that I successfully updated from update_fw5_7-31.gb to this new beta firmware. To ensure the update isn't interrupted, I updated while connected to an outlet while absolutely ensuring I didn't accidentally press the reset button located on the back of the EZ Flash Junior. I updated using an AGS-101 GBA SP with no modifications. SD card is a PNY 32gb with 100Mb/s reads.
I have the GBC CPU that is incompatible with the 1.04 FW version, and noticed some freezes on the previous 1.05e 7-31 firmware, most recently on Tokimeki Memorial Pocket. This new beta firmware seems to take care of those issues. The GBC is modified with the FunnyPlaying IPS v2 screen and has USB-C 1.5V 3400mWh rechargeable AA batteries. I also have an identically modded GBC with a compatible CPU that is on the 7-31 beta, but since it has full compatibility and the functioning 7-31 RTC I may way to update until final 1.05 release.

Of the four GBC, one is a GBC-01 CPU model, and almost all issues seemed to have been resolved; the only issue left is a minor one where the save writing never completes and the device needs a forced reset, but giving it enough time to write prevents any save data corruption. Really pleased with how these turned out!
Thanks to the EZFlash team for sharing the beta firmware in time for Christmas!
If you don't play prism or other hack games, you can consider the 0918 version is the final release.@EZ-Flash2 any news on a final release?
Ok, it says that I should not attempt to use the new firmware if I am a newbie.
How do I stop being a newbie then? Anywhere to begin on how to not fuck it up?
"If you are a novice and do not have the ability to solve the situation of the shit hit the fan, we do not recommend you to install this version. VERY SERIOUSLY."Here is the newest test version which already tested by some selected forum members.

Known issues:
Prism time shift(maybe other hacks), the rtc3stest demo still have red error, other commercial rtc games working fine.

After all, this is a beta version and has only been tested by a few beta testers. We don't have more energy to deal with the problems of unbootable, unworkable, etc. caused by newbies who have installed this version.
Even if someone in the later replies says how he safely upgraded the beta version, we still have to say to the newbies who are eager to try, please continue to wait for the official version, just because others can upgrade does not mean you can upgrade, everyone's luck is different.

What should I worry about?
Given the warning that it is a Beta and that users install at their own risk, what is the risk of something going wrong at this stage compared to Kernel 1.04e and Firmware 4? You say "you can consider the 0918 version is the final release." are we to take this as its as safe as Firmware 4?If things go wrong, you may brick the card, then you have to contact the dealer for replacement.
If you can accept this worst-case scenario, then you can try.
It's less tested than Firmware 4 but there's been no known reports of issues thus far. But perhaps you'll get (un)luckyGiven the warning that it is a Beta and that users install at their own risk, what is the risk of something going wrong at this stage compared to Kernel 1.04e and Firmware 4? I have 2 of these arriving in the next few days (one is part of a Christmas present, so I would like the RTC stuff fulling working for crystal etc) I would like to use the latest and greatest.
If it makes a difference the SD cards to be used are 32gb Integral v30 cards)
