good evening!
My name is Luke and I'm new to this forum. I'm asking for help because I don't know what to do!. Premise, I have an all original GBA. Yesterday I bought an EZ Flash Junior and I downloaded the FW4 version from the official site. I formatted in fat32 and 32kb as written in the txt file. I also created the two folders "roms" and "save". only that when I turned on the gba Solo the first time the "battery drain" message appeared, I pressed a and then it tried to start up but nothing. after the writing OSINIT restarts by itself continuously. That writing on the battery never came out again. The batteries are brand new and the sd card is 32gb class 10. Can you help me, please?

"restarts by itself continuously"

This usually happens when the battery is weak.
Try high-capacity NI-MH batteries.
ex) IKEA LADDA 2450mah, ENELOOP PRO

thanks but the battery you mean of gab or ez flash?

Not just the batteries. There are 2 more factors: Aging capacitors and a possibly dirty power switch.
and how I can test it?

i want say that restart is starting only if I put inside sd card with file, if I put inside ez flash without sd gab don't restart

1. The battery is a gba AA battery.

2. You can compare with working cartridges or other Game Boy devices.

There are two ways left.

1. Remove coin battery of ezflash and try it.
2. Try running on another device.

If it doesn't work in both cases, there is a possibility that the hardware or fpga firmware or bootloader has failed.

Removing the coin battery is simply for SRAM initialization.

It appears to be a typical power issue.

It could be the aging of the gba's power circuit capacitors.

I think it will probably work on other devices.

Do you have a fully charged NI-MH battery among your own?

yes I have full charged battery. But this reboot is only if I put ezgb.dat file. if I not put the sd card or the ezgb file the gab work perfectly

Rebooting can be related to the power demand when reading sd card.

If you can't confirm behavior on other devices, you can't be sure it's a problem with junior itself.

Depending on the age and brand of your alkaline batteries they might be too weak. If you want some good, high quality alkalines consider Varta or Energizer as brands. However personally I prefer rechargeable NiMh batteries, like the Panasonic Eneloop Pro (2500 mAh for the AA and 900 mAh for the AAA).

There is also another possibility that might interfere with the boot progress, the speed of your MicroSD card. What class of speed is yours? If it's not at least a Class 4 try one that is either Class 4 or faster. Personally I use a Class 10 just because those are very cheap these days.

Yeah that card should be perfectly fine if you've correctly formatted it to FAT32, with 32kb allocation size. It's a U1 which is equivalent to Class 10.
