If I remember correctly what I use to do when I didn't want it to prompt me for updating the app I would edit the title version in a game's app.xml to 9999. Don't quote me on that seeing as my memory is pretty close to vague when it comes to recalling it.

I still haven't had a chance to take a look into it yet but I am seeing something that could work that you can try.
Try this:
userdata.dat and rename it 1.save then take savegame.dat and rename that 2.save and then replace the original 1.save/2.save files on your PC with the renamed Wii U save...
If the files that actually contains the the save data are similar enough I don't see why not. It might be possible, I guess I could try to transfer a save to see if it will work.
I may try the new ram site, and download more RAM to my Switch. Not sure if ddr3 is the right ram
