How does one put Mods on their 3ds for games

If you already have the standard Custom Firmware installed, then in most cases it's as easy as downloading the mod files and putting them in a certain folder on your SD card. The game will find these files and use them instead of the files in its actual data.

Hacking [Rel] Improved (hopefully) NTR streamer for N3DS (XL/LL)

Thanks for posting this. I've been meaning to do some stream capturing, and getting BootNTR Selector working again would be a bonus. The version on my N3DS has been outdated for some time now, and I've been asking around for help but to no avail. Do you know if it still supports .plg cheat plugins?

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

It's been a couple months since I asked, so I hope this is okay. I've got an old cheat plugin in .PLG format. The creators aren't really into this scene so it's unlikely they'll make a .3GX version. How would one go about using a .PLG in this day and age? BootNTR Selector isn't working like it...

Fanmade PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remakes the game in HD, with widescreen support

There was an image a few years ago of an "upscaled" scene from Link's Awakening, with the original GB palette, where Link is in the swamp right outside the Bottle Grotto with the Chain Chomp. I was hoping this "HD" port would look like that. Oh well, nice work anyway!

    First game you remember playing?

I'm kind of surprised that I have no idea. It was probably either something on my family's Apple IIe, or a relative's Atari 2600, or an arcade Pac-Man.

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Oh hai, I have an old game plugin in PLG format that was never converted to 3GX. The creators made some exclusive and pretty sweet codes that were never absorbed into the commonly-available plugins, and they aren't really into this scene enough to follow the 3GX format. So I'm not quite sure...

Unlimited Plays for Nintendo Badge Arcade

I cheated daily on the Japanese version of Badge Arcade (region-swapped North American 3DS) for several months, up until it stopped updating when the eShop closed, and never had a problem. It's hard to imagine there'd be a problem now, since there are no more microtransactions and the catchers...

Things you recently bought or got

This beaut here. I have no idea if it's official or common, but I love it.

Things you recently bought or got

I bought an Xbox One a few weeks ago. This is kind of a big deal for me because I've been two console generations behind, and kind of thinking the cost and time investment might never be worth it. Found one for an irresistible price. It came with a nice, shiny black and pink controller. I am...

What's the worst game you've ever played?

If you played that one before Revenge or Wrestlemania 2000, then it wasn't so bad. It had a few mechanics that I think should come back in some form, and me and my friends had a good time with the CAWs. But yeah, it just lacks that precise and snappy feel of the Yukes games. Also on N64 was the...

Pikmin 4 has leaked online prior to launch

General question about these leaks. I remember reading several years ago that Nintendo had begun putting unique digital serial numbers in each cartridge, so any dumps/leaks would have a traceable ID on it. Was that a real thing, and people are just making sure to scrub their dumps?

Memory editing in DesMuME or other?

I've been trying to ask at the official DesMuME forums, but they've been having hosting problems for a little while now. Basically I'm wondering if there's an easy way to view the contents of RAM and edit the values at certain addresses. Or maybe a different emulator would be better for that...

Is anyone playing 3ds after 3ds eshop close?

You should beat the Woodlands / Forest Temple first, not just to get used to the mechanics, but then you'll be able to pick random levels and you'll be much more likely to connect to other players.

Is anyone playing 3ds after 3ds eshop close?

If I got a Switch or another console then I wouldn't play the 3DS much, but for now I still use it a lot. I have almost the entire Picross collection, beat every puzzle a hundred times but they're still a fun brain-flex. Tri Force Heroes is still online, and I've been meaning to try out a couple...
