Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Thanks, that's great, I did look at the cache folder and saw a file usb2_wbfs.db but wiiexplorer said it was 0b so I oringally left it. I've deleted it now and that's done the trick, many thanks ! Is that all the button needs to do, delete any file in that directory? ... might have a look doing...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Hi, I've a strange problem, with an old installation on a new drive. I bought a new 1TB drive and decided to format it to NTFS so that I could use the free space for other things. So, I created a 2GB FAT32 partition and the rest as NTFS. I copied the working existing WiiFlow files from my old...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

KineticUK, I had a problem a while back with a few games that black screen, I happened to change channel and back on my TV and lo and behold the game was there. The problem was that the video mode was incorrect and by changing the channel and back the tv detects what tv mode the game is in...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I think that the download bit is ok but it's the conversion to wfc that's the problem. Having said that I've noticed strangely that of those covers that are corrupt it seems to be only the mid mipmap images that display corrupted. If I switch to a cover flow that shows the covers as tiny (at a...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Regarding the corrupt covers, (because I'm a lazydog I put a version of R25 in apps so that I could use that to download covers to usb and keep my main forwarder version for running games at the latest revision. All was well at first but now a few covers get corrupted when downloading even on...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

I had a quick go and thought the same, only I imagined that you would click the Favourite star perhaps?, the first time it would filter on favourites and then further clicks would iterate through the categories bringing up the categroy name somewhere near the star. I wanted this to have all of...

Hacking WiiFlow - an open source GUI USB-Loader

Thanks Hibern and Narolez for a great loader. It's still the best and I'll cary on using it, I can understand how demanding being the sole developer would be and hope that one day it will be a group development where people just make small contributions. Norlez (or anyone who may know), could I...

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
