    From my experience the FoF design is much harder to work with, with needing to hack up a micro USB connector for it, I could never get the FoF design to actually work so I went with the Thingyverse print and it's worked perfect.

    You can get a joycon rail cheap. Buy a rail, insert rail into switch, take a piece of wire and touch one end to fan heatsink then the other end to the pad that leads to pin 10 on the side of the rail then profit. That way you don't have to really mess with any of the pins.
