  • I wish it was easier to play stylus-heavy games like Pokemon Ranger on PC...the mouse is nowhere near as accurate as stylus controls.

Graphics tablets work well. That's really the only way you'll be able to play those games with any kind of accuracy on PC. Outside of that, the Wii U is a great shout for big screen Ranger stuff since it has the gamepad and all.

I agree, Wii U is great for Ranger games if you have one!
God do I hate the genies in Pokemon Legends; they move so quickly, their attacks are hard to avoid, and they have a shield that requires you to stun them before you can battle them. UGH.
XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 3!!!! YEEEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!! Can't wait to see how it connects to Shulk's and Rex's journeys and worlds, since it seems to incorporate everything!
Playing Dragon Quest XI S, and Veronica died - next battle, she's replaced by a coffin. Okay, funny. I go to remove old armour from her inventory, and it says "takes the silk robe from Veronica's coffin". Okay, WTF, I'm apparently stripping a young girl's corpse!

Oh, and buying a piece of equipment - say, rabbit ears - from a merchant and immediately equipping it has the game say, "the shopkeeper gently opens Veronica's coffin and equips her with the bunny ears".
    what the absolute fuck

I have a job, right? Well today, I did something I really shouldn't have, that will almost certainly have long lasting negative consequences for myself.

I ate two Krispy Kreme donuts on the way home.
Well, seems like my parents are gonna go through divorce soon...not exactly unexpected, considering Dad left home over a year ago, but still unfortunate.

I feel for you, lad, but sometimes it's the right choice, albeit a painful one for everyone. Unfortunately, I know this situation first hand, and the hardship, suffering and tears it brings. :)

The passcode to the staff eating room in my workplace is literally 5678 - seriously. Why not something cool like 4096 or 8192???

Maybe they are fans of Steps?
Though depending upon the lock type (see a lot of cheaper mechanical ones) you might be able to change the order so you get to figure out if there is a cool combo.

Never heard of Steps myself, so I dunno. It's an electronic keypad, so I highly doubt I'll be able to change it.

I'm not sure if it accepts more than four digits; haven't tried any other codes yet.

Starting Crown Tundra in Pokemon Sword, so I can catch the last few Legendaries, and there's a man and his daughter arguing...why am I forced to help the girl, when I'd much rather help the father?
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
I do not see Peony there as being in the wrong; he wants to spend time with his daughter Peonia (real creative there, man), whilst the selfish and self-centred girl wants to do some dumb Max Raiding.
She's the one in the wrong, yet I'm being forced to help her if I want to even enter the Tundra...greeeeat.
Started my IT internship yesterday; it's going okay so far.
Up to Wyndon Stadium in Pokemon Sword, and...why did Bea have to be Round 2 of the Finals? Gordie would've been a much worthier, and much more fun and interesting, opponent...goddamn you, Bea.

Also, would've loved to have battled Milo or Kabu in Round 1, rather than boring Nessa. Such a letdown, this Elite Four-replacement.

The game was such a button masher it doesn't make a difference.
Oh, and the Battle Tower in Sword/Shield...FINALLY there's no restriction on certain Legendaries or Mythicals! That's great!
But why still have that damn Item Clause? Why restrict me to only one Life Orb or Leftovers, when having multiple would be extremely handy?

I fully agree there; Item Clause has always been the bane of my postgame-Pokémon existence, especially in older games that didn't have anywhere near as many useful held items. I do not understand why Game Freak persists in keeping that annoying limitation, when otherwise the Tower's free of them.
Recently, I've been going through Pokemon Sword, Super Mario Odyssey, and Super Mario 3D World (switching whenever I feel bored of one) - and going back to SM3DW has reaffirmed my opinion it's worse than 3D Land.

Think back to the 1980s and early 1990s. No abundance of games. Kid got one: Now play it or – don't play it; you won't get another one soon. Nowadays games are cheaply available, too many and a high difficulty in conjunction with the high amount of content on a disc/chip nowadays isn't feasible. Overall high difficulty to the point of unfairness is intimidating for casual gamers and will hurt sales badly.

Tiny ROM chips, very limited amount of content. Playing a simple NES game from start to finish takes 30-60 minutes. It would have felt like a huge waste of money if the games were so easy that you could do this after two days.

Guess they include special stages after "beating" the game as memento. The difficulty in some Nintendo titles for reaching the main goal nowadays is literally watching someone else play.

A game without a good amount of challenge concerning the main objective ("rescue the damsel in distress") isn't fun for me. Learning frustration tolerance in addition to coordinating hands/eyes is an important lesson for children. To make that clear: If I had a child and (s)he asked me for a Switch my answer would be: "I'll order one the moment you beat Castlevania III – Dracula's curse on my NES" (no cheats)
Feeling extremely anxious about my full-time, two-year internship starting week after next. Not only is it the unknown, but also the complete loss of my precious free time and choice on how I spend it.

So yeah, not in the best mental state today - I currently feel "don't want to waste what time I've got left, so please leave me alone to do as I please", y'know? Along with being miserable due to the anxiety. I dunno, I'm a mess right now.
What's the best method to transfer an emuMMC from one microSD card to another? Like, with all installed games and DLC/updates and saves?

Back up the emuNAND in Hekate, format the new card for emuNAND in Hekate, transfer all the files from the old card onto it including the emuNAND backup you made, and restore the backup.

@The Real Jdbye When I go to Backup eMMC in Hekate, do I select "SD emuMMC Raw Partition", or just backup BOOT0 & BOOT1 and RAW GPP?
Welp, just dropped my 2017 MacBook Pro off at the Apple Store, for a battery replacement. Won't have access to that for a few days.

The laptop's still in great condition for a four-year-old machine, and since the battery's a consumable component instead of something more permanent, it's not gonna be the usual replacement fee, according to the Genius Bar guy. No, instead of AU$600+, it's gonna be $300.

Backed my laptop up to two different hard drives, so data should be secure as well.

America, and undoubtedly other Western countries like Australia, needs to do away with "car culture" and start embracing public transport, like Japan does. Far more environmentally friendly than even electric cars, for one benefit.
    KleinesSinchen

Many people hearing the word “electromobility” think exactly of having their 2t SUV being moved by an enormous battery. I think of an (electric) motor-assisted bicycle.
    RichardTheKing
    RichardTheKing
And promoting cars means an unavoidable increase in traffic, and thus congestion, and "building more lanes" doesn't fix it at all - induced demand, after all; we just get larger congestion. Meanwhile, it makes cities less livable since more space is taken up by roads, pollution (exhaust and noise), and not as many parks and other social areas.

From what I've heard, Europe does this far better than America does, in terms of actually having liveable cities. Meanwhile, Japan is miles ahead on the transportation aspect, even if it does mean cramped trains - public transport also means having to walk instead of sitting in metal&plastic whilst stuck in traffic, so that's another benefit.
