    At least its mostly just petty squabbling with gamers. Just look at sports fans, especially English football fans. It often ends up with actual fights, destruction of property,etc,etc.

    No but steam doesn't let you run apps for a different platform either. You can run any non-commercial UWP apps you like though.

    You can do that in Dev mode already. The downside is you have to switch back to retail mode to play official software.

    I'm guessing its more to do with the worry that running homebrew code in retail mode could lead to an exploit being discovered. While it sucks to lose retail mode options at least they do offer a mode that can run homebrew officially, unlike everyone else.

    Has it got to the point where it is properly reliable in windows now? I seem to remember people running into various bugs and driver issues,etc. But that was back closer to launch.

    It's not a windows PC it's a Linux PC. You can wipe steamOS and install windows if you want to but that introduces various other problems.

    Emudeck basically gathers together and uses a bunch of different software to make emulation on the steam deck easier. One of the applications it uses is emulation station. So improvements to ES will filter through to emudeck as emudeck gets updated.

    Retroarch is a frontend but only for its own cores. As a front end for configuring a bunch of your emulation easily its great but for actually playing/selecting/finding games its kind of clunky and ugly and lacks a lot of the customisation.     Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
