You know, I've had this dissonance in my head for a while. I prefer the best of Mario over Genesis Sonic, but as a kid, I had really good memories with the Sonic franchise.
Compared objectively against Super Mario World and Yosh's Island, I can understand that the Genesis Sonic trilogy doesn't hold up. On their own merits, the Sonic games are fairly solid. Not outstanding, but not mediocre either. At the end of the day, they are just straightforward platformers with excellent music and difficult special stages. The main levels and bosses are mostly a breeze, adding to that simplistic nature. It hurts to say that because I can see how much work was put into the levels and their branching paths and unique gimmicks.
I wouldn't mind hearing the arguments in favor of the Genesis Sonic games, but I feel that Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World are tough acts to beat.
Considering how popular furry bait continues to be, I think a lot of people are lying about their feelings towards furries
Furry bait Pokémon, Digimon, Pals, movies, etc. continue to be way too popular for anti-furries to be the majority

Some people just watch/play this stuff without making any pro/anti-furry connections to it, because they just see them as characters and not sex objects I guess.
Chrono Cross > Chrono Trigger
Roast me, burn me alive, spit on my grave, I don't care. Chrono Cross was much more fun for me and way less grindy. Had a good story, still had Trigger tie-ins and cameos, and overall was a truly memorable game. The soundtrack went way harder than it ever needed to as well, and I appreciate that.

I am more talking about how Pokémon like Lucario, Pals like Katress, and Digimon like Renamon continue to top the list of favorites and continue to have a lot of popularity. They do have impressive designs but something about the popularity of furry bait just makes me go
Several people feel this way. I'm in camp Chrono Trigger, but Chrono Cross was just plain top-tier Squaresoft. A sequel to Chrono Trigger was a bold move to begin with, and I'm not unhappy with the end result.
Anime often has great stories but the presentation and the way that characters think and overexplain is just painful.

Yes. The audience already caught all of that from the character's face. You don't have to very explicitly and painstakingly lay it out for us.

To be fair, the original live also dragged the hell on and on and on, but that's just the nature of the beginning of the story as I understand it.
The animation is definitely the best adaptation thus far, IMO, because it gets to interesting points through it's season.

I have reflexes a cat would be jealous of and a near psychic ability to read people, makes online play feel incredibly unfair. Ironically I have been booted from online servers for being a bot.... Or aim assist lol
