    Alright, I got 2 o3DS with A9LH, I guess I can say that it's pretty safe if you follow the instructions properly.

    I shat irons just after I installed A9LH and my 3DS wasn't booting into sysNAND, only to remember I didn't have AuReiNand on the SD.

    I got like 2 black screen of "death" after the downgrade to 2.1, but it worked fine after removing the SD :P It's scary as heck sometimes

    Why, Nintendo always bring us stable updates! It's almost like...the only thing they ever do. My 3DS is so stable I can carry my house on it!

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

    Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    @BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

    You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60
