I'm currently running 5.50 Prom-4, and I've been seeing that some 6.35 CFW's have been released. I'm confused on the differences (if any) between the different ones, and whether they are worth upgrading to right now.
"Why do people want a 5.x hack over a 6.x hack?"
The 6.x hacks do not have full homebrew/plugin/game support (though this is improving over time and may not be an issue later).
Personally, I've been using 6.35 Pro-B3, and haven't had any problems with it (yet). I recomend it for the extra features. I've been using my PSP (Phat, 1001) for a little over a day now but no problems. I keep a pandora battery on me just in case though. Good Luck!
I'm running 5.50 Prome-4 on my 1001 - I was able to downgrade from 6.31 without Pandora (see stickies for how-to), it's stable and it plays everything. If you have a 3000 or Go you are stuck with semi-hacks though.
am i the only one still using 5.00 m33-6 ??
the needs to update never occure to me.
sometime i tried new CFW, but eventually back to m33-6.
all my homebrew collection run on it
every game i want to play (currently playing duodecim and god eater) also work (m33+iso tool to decrypt and patch if needed)
imho. unless you have newer 3K/go. stay on 5.xx, for now
