@KleinesSinchen, wear gloves when removing corrosion with a mini metal wire brush or rolled up piece of sand paper. Clean until the metal surfaces are shiny. Disconnect both terminals when brushing or sanding. For extra safety, mask/duck tape both battery connectors.
