Hacking Feeling so out of date

Personally, I run 6.35 Pro and have been extremely happy with it. It's been able to do everything I want, which is to say run the latest isos, run DLC and run PSX eboots. You'll really have to look at the most recent CFWs and see what meets your needs the best, but I'll throw out a...

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Blood of Bahamut English Patch

Square has a long history of re-using a certain set of names for things. As far as it goes, Behemoth is a long standing name the Square has used in many of their games and they like referencing back to FF. Behemoth has also become a word in modern times meaning any extremely large or powerful...

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Blood of Bahamut English Patch

Forgive my mythology nerdiness here... Shiva is traditionally portrayed in a male form, but there is an iconic representation of Shiva shown as half man and half woman meant to represent the idea that the sacred highest power of the universe is both masculine and feminine at once. "He" is also...

ROM Hack [RELEASED] Blood of Bahamut English Patch

Personally, I voted Behemoth. Behemoth feels like it fits better into the psuedo-Final Fantasy atmosphere and naming conventions alongside Ifrit and Shiva, among others. Behemoth has been used by Square Enix as gigantic monsters for some time now. As a side note, micado commented that he felt...

Hacking Duocecim DLC on 6.20 CFW

I know I don't need a Pandora to do it. I mean I don't have a Pandora to fix it if it bricks on me.

Hacking Duocecim DLC on 6.20 CFW

As far as "brand new" games go, I'm running Untouched Isos of Third Birthday and Dissidia 012 flawlessly on 6.35 Pro-B4. I considered updating from 5.50 Prom-4 to 6.20 perm, but I haven't got a Pandora's Battery, so I didn't want to risk bricking with a permanent install. I'm quite pleased...

Hacking Duocecim DLC on 6.20 CFW

@slayerdx: yes this works with all the costumes. @8bitwaluigi: I just updated from 5.50 prom-4 to 6.35 Pro-B4.

Hacking Duocecim DLC on 6.20 CFW

As far as I was aware, this works to use any regions DLC on any region version of Duodecim. However, you'll have to find the pack of cracked DLCs. They do include the Japanese DLCs too.

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

I don't play all that many PSX games on my PSP. A few, but PSP game compatibility is more important to me.

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

I actually ended up with 6.35 pro-b4 non permanent. I don't have a pandora battery, so I don't want to risk something that carries a significant chance of bricking. I'm quite pleased with 6.35 pro-b4 though. Restarting the firmware after a system restart just isn't that bothersome.

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

Ah, ok then I see. Thanks for all the info. I think I'll be updating very shortly then

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

Not an install? I admit I'm confused. I've only ever used 5.50 Gen and Prom. How exactly does the 6.20 TN-D work then? It's installed and you have to select or start it when you restart the psp?

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

Ok, I'm liking the sound of 6.20 TN-D. Just a couple more questions. 1.Does anyone know if it can run the games straight off of UMDs? 2.Should the psp crash/battery die/need to be restarted, is the install process long and complicated or short and simple?

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

I understand that many people think that 5.50 prom-4 is currently among the best CFW because of its wide compatibility and high stability. My issue is that I review games, and the ability to play the latest UMDs or backups of them is quite important, as is the ability to play DLC I've bought...

Hacking Deciding on a new CFW

I need some information about the various custom firmwares. Currently I'm running 5.50 Prom-4 and it mostly covers my needs. I've been looking at an update, but I'm wary of it as I was not the one who initially cracked my PSP, and I have very little idea of what I'm doing with the newer CFWs and...

    Gaming Radiant Historia

The preorder is so worth it. The bonus soundtrack disc of piano tracks is downright gorgeous. They demo'd it for us during the preview.

    Gaming Radiant Historia

As the one who attended the preview and wrote up the above preview, I have to say that despite superficial similarities, the games are really nothing alike at all. Radiant Historia stands to be a really good game on its own merits.

Thanks for the plug Raven The preview was really fun to attend. I'm really hyped for this game. It's definitely gonna be worth playing.

That's very possible. Try to find clean versions of both and see if that gets you anywhere.

Hacking Sonic Colors and Star Wars Battlefront

My sister's been playing Sonic Colours on Akaio 1.8.5a all day no problem. Have you tried reformatting with panasonicSD formatter?

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
