My Wii U doesn't detect my HDD

The Wii U has weakly powered USB ports. If your hard drive does not have a source of power itself, I recommend to use a Y-cable.

Homebrew RELEASE JKSV (save manager) for Switch

I have made a backup of all save data and put it on my pc. Question: what is the fastest way to transfer save data to my new CFW Switch when it arrives? Does JKSV automatically recognize from the SD card folder which games I used on the old system? Is it possible to mass restore saves?

Hardware A method for using joy-con pair controls with 1 attached and 1 wireless?

Hello everyone, When using the joy-cons, I noticed that they either have to be both attached or both have to make a wireless connection. It is normally not possible to mix one attached with one wireless. Question: Does there exist a homebrew app or another method to use 1 attached and 1...

ROM Hack Question Restoring save with checkpoint doesn't work??? - PKM Shield

Could it be that this game has different versions (US/EU)? Does the game icon show appear twice in Checkpoint (carefully check next/previous pages)? If so, you may have restored the save for the version which you have not installed.

Hardware Dock no longer displays 1080p

Not all games support 1080p in docked mode, it depends on the game. Have you used ReverseNX to flag your console as handheld previously? How are you sure it is in 720p mode? Does the TV say that?

Homebrew RELEASE Chiaki (PS5 & PS4 remote play) homebrew

The public IP address is the public IP of the router, right? Some time ago I tried all sorts of things with router settings, putting the PS4 in the DMZ, forwarding ports, using DDNS, but none of it worked. When I have the time I might try again though. I believe the DDNS option was the least...

Homebrew RELEASE Chiaki (PS5 & PS4 remote play) homebrew

I got this to work with my Switch and PS4 connected to the same network, but what should I do when I use Chiaki (the Switch) on another network? (Is that possible?) Should I change the IP address in the configuration file? And if so, to which value?

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Just a quick question: is it `safe' to update to the latest firmware, 10.0.2? (aka Atmosphere works and there are no negative consequences) (I am currently on 9.2.0)

Hacking Question "Unable to start software" on all but a couple of my NSP games even after installing sig patches.

When launching from Hekate and selecting a game which previously worked and now has an "!" next to it, let the data corruption check run once and after it is finished, click it away. Even if it failed, the game should launch again. As for the games that still don't work, I believe a mismatch...

Hacking Question "Unable to start software" on all but a couple of my NSP games even after installing sig patches.

Okay, Mario Odyssey is a relatively old game, don't know about Spyro but the reason why I asked was because I ran into a similar problem and the problem turned out to be the way I started my CFW. But that does not seem to be the case for you then. So what happens if you select a non-working...

Hacking Question "Unable to start software" on all but a couple of my NSP games even after installing sig patches.

Do you get data corruption notifications? Are those 2 games that work relatively older games or games which don't require heavy CPU/GPU power? It might have something to do with the method you started your CFW and whether background services are running. Did you use the `Launch' option in...

Hardware So my switch is patched, can i buy a new internal storage?

Gaming [QUESTION] Is it safe to say that games released this year will still work with 8.1.0

By installing those games while selecting "ignore required firmware version" in your NSP installer, some of them will work with 8.1.0. If you break the 9.0.0 crypto on those games by repacking them with NSC_Builder while using the new masterkey, a lot of them will work with 8.1.0. Only those...

Hacking Actual changelog of firmware 8.1?

Besides a new masterkey which is required for decrypting newer games at some point in time, the changes are minimal on the front. There have been security changes in the background (someone else might be able to explain those in-depth), but since CFWs get updated to work around those you will...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

    Homebrew COMPLETED ScummVM

Can somebody explain to me how to remap the buttons? I am currently using ScummVM version 2.0.0 with RetroArch and it does not let me change it in RetroArch. I have a game where there is no way to click to bring up the save or load menu. I have to perform specific keyboard presses such as F5 or...

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

My current firmware version is 3.0.0 1) Is it safe to install firmware updates by using NSP files using Tinfoil? 2) Is it worth to use more complicated versions of updating in order to not burn any efuses?

Hacking SWITCH NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hello GBATEMP! My Switch was purchased shortly after launch, but due to being busy with work and study the past year I haven't started hacking it yet and most of the news went right past me. My situation now is as follows: I have a completely clean/unmodified Switch at firmware 3.0.0 and I...
