    ROM Hack [THE] 3DS Translation Request Topic

    Hey guys, I'm looking for the undub version of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, but strangely I just can't find even a mention of it. Does it exist in any form? I know KH games are always a pain to undub because of the many changes and differences between the Japanese, the Western and...

    Translation Ni no Kuni Translation [ENG]

    Looks a bit complicated to me... But if this is what it takes to play Ni no Kuni finally in English then I will give it a try.

    Thanks for the reply. Well, I only have an R4DS flashcart that I used with my DS back in the day. But nothing for the 3DS... How about TWLoader? Some DS games run with it without much problems.

    Yep, just the language. Japanese devices come with Japanese language only. You can't change it as in the EU devices. I suppose changing the region should change the system language too, right?

    I suppose someone here can answer this: is it possible to change the system language of a New 3DS XL? I want to change it from Japanese to English. Yes, I know it isn't possible by default, but I was wondering if there is any way to do that with CFW maybe?

    So, basically if I can get CFW on the one with 11.3, I can use it to get CFW on the another one with 11.4, right?

    Okay, so just to be sure: 11.3 should be fine by simply softmodding it (Soundhax/Boot9strap/Luma3DS). I suppose I should be able to do it without much problems (I managed with my PS2, PSP and Wii at least back in the day). However, as for 11.4, it would require a compatible flashcart or...

    Thanks for the quick reply! You mean, something like the R4DS card for the classic DS? I still have one somewhere... But I suppose I will need to have CFW as well?

    Glad that I found this noob section ’cause I’m a real noob with 3DS… So, we got 2 New 3DS LL (or XL) from Japan, one with FW ver.11.3.0-36J and the other with FW ver.11.4.0-37J. Of course, we would like to get CFW on them. Not only because of the region lock stuff, but also because of the...

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
