Ocarina of Time PC port Ship of Harkinian details new features including 60FPS mode

It was supposed to be the next project after reLCS, which was already finishable by the time it was discontinued. They even wanted to do reVCS, but iirc it was the most difficult project due it being only on MIPS architecture (PSP/PS2) and not having symbols.

Ocarina of Time PC port Ship of Harkinian details new features including 60FPS mode

People has been like "sm64-port will get a DMCA soon" for.. three years already? re3 and reVC were clearly more risky, especially after those streams.

I like low-res textures and I cannot lie (no irony)

N64 had few textures in the games, because of the 4K of TMEM. It was all about the colored polygons and face/gouraud shading. I would like to love that aesthetic, unfortunately it features the dirtiest framebuffer ever seen on any console due the bloated filter pipeline.

Gaming Which game series needs to remake its first entry? (+why?)

It was the first in the series, tho Battlefield 1942 (2002) is basically a Codename Eagle (1999) 2.0, a previous game from Refraction Games, which became DICE in 2000. Battlefield 1942 had a gigantic mod community, probably the biggest in 2002-03. Among all those mods there was a brilliantly...

Gaming Which game series needs to remake its first entry? (+why?)

Battlefield 1942. I would love something like Forgotten Hope but with modern assets and big community. It is the only Battlefield I like, Desert Combat seriously destroyed the license after Road to Rome. 1943 was okey-ish, but it is console exclusive, so big nope for me.

Homebrew Ship of Harkinian (Ocarina of Time) Wii U Port

Maybe it is a known issue, but my game crashed in the Dodongo's Cavern, after hitting the moving statue with a bomb. It could be fine if you let it move first, I haven't tried. Other than that and the texture problem in the Hyrule Field's roads, it works flawless.

"It looks simple enough" porting logic. Never gets old.

Homebrew Ship of Harkinian (Ocarina of Time) Wii U Port

I can't see the appeal of a Zeebo port. It is an expensive and hard to jailbreak (hardware, of course) device. That port exists just because /bin/cat (usernameAK) is the author of Melange, a BREW emulator/wrapper for Android, which runs BREW apps natively on the phone's hardware. I think it was...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

JellyCar 2 could be more stable with the heap change, but still crashes after two or three levels. The Calculator crashes using select (credits?) and the Flashlight crashes using the help button. I love how the Flashlight has more people in the credits than Shovel Knight, for example :lol...

ScummVM is compatible with an immense range of titles

ScummVM is amazing, but outside of PC (Win, OSX, Linux) is usually a hit or miss regarding the compatibility. DS, for example, is upstreamed and supposedly compatible with tons of engines, but in reality most of them are not really supported. Documentation is usually outdated and barely helpful.

    Mario 64 on GBA

Payback was an Amiga 1200 port, which is even more surprising. It had a GP2X port as well, that I have been searching for years. Not even the original studio guys want to sell me their copies  Here's a photo I took with the GP2X demo, the GBA version and the iOS version, which is of...

You need devkitPro (pretty straightforward), dma330 and CTR Firm builder. https://github.com/profi200/dma330as https://github.com/derrekr/ctr_firm_builder These do not have install option, so just move the binaries to the PATH. If you use WSL it can be the Windows PATH as well.
