Hardware Why does my 3DS take so long to turn off?

I have a 64GB card myself, as I read about higher capacity cards beforehand. The only time I have seen these longer-than-normal shutting off times was with Pretendo, and every single time I turn on Wifi, even for a moment, it's when I got them, so it definitely has to do something along what...

Hardware Why does my 3DS take so long to turn off?

Opening the nimbus app you can go back to the original servers. I am suspicious the longer time to turn off might only happen if you have turned on wifi on at any time during that boot up. When I play and I never turn on Wifi, the system shuts off normally. If I turn it on (mostly to pass...

Hardware Why does my 3DS take so long to turn off?

I have experienced the exact same long turning off since I put pretendo. I am going to consider reverting to normal, I don't use it and it's going to be a long while before I do, I don't particularly care abour playing MK7 with randoms, and that's most of what 3ds has for now. Glad to see it...

    mh3u dlc install help needed

Ah... I will have to look more, I don't know what could be going on there, and I don't have my console near. I wonder if dlc is locked to the save file it was downloaded with or something else going on... Edit: I just noticed. The card1/2/3, cardbox and quest1/2/3/4 files are the result of...

...Why did you erase them, that's where your saves, digital titles and extra data is stored.

    mh3u dlc install help needed

That's not the directory I said. You don't have the folder with the long string of numbers, which is strange... Have the game installed? Did you run it, or boot your cartridge to create a file?

    mh3u dlc install help needed

sd:/Nintendo 3DS/[Folder with a serial number][Another folder with a serial number]/00040000/000bd100/content There, there's a cmd folder, 00000000.app, 00000000,tmd and 00000001.app. Again, look for the id that matches the region of your game. European MH3U is 000BD100, american is 000AE400...

    mh3u dlc install help needed

The dowloadable content for MH games is not an "executable" CIA or similar. It was in-game downloads, it got the files themselves and put them in a specific folder to access whenever needed. MH3U's files for example are close to what an installed game looks like, with a tmd file among other...

    mh3u dlc install help needed

I think MH3U worked differently than 4U and XX. Instead of on the extdata folder, it goes on your save file folder. Inside of your Nintendo 3DS folder there's a "title" folder. Inside should be a folder named 0004000. There should be another folder that matches de ID of MH3U, the european copy...

Emulator Red Viper - Virtual Boy emulator

Thank you for your work on this emulator, Floogle, it is really appreciated. ...I had no idea the Virtual Boy was a 50Hz machine, wow. I was surprised by that feature being added, but after checking out yeah, it makes total sense, I always thought it was a 60Hz one, like pretty much every other...

    Translation MHXX Complete English Patch

I know. Most of this stuff is p2p (even on paid services), but to connect to others you needed to go through their service first, which is what I am talking about with "3ds servers". With no possibility to go connect to Nintendo, you can't do anything. And that's what's kinda annoying about all...

    Translation MHXX Complete English Patch

...In case anyone wonders, even with the Switch crossplay patch, you can no longer play online after the 3DS/WiiU online functions went down. Pretty disappointing. At least I got to beat a few Ex Deviants before closing. I don't know if there will be any way to bypass the "service is over"...

Homebrew [HELP] Looking for a basic tutorial for recompiling CIA

If the only thing you wanted is to change the icon, you could simply use New Super Ultimate injector to unpack the CIA, and with the tool itself change the banner, icon and such just to rebuild it after. Pretty simple, pretty painless, if you have a 64 bit computer at least.

How to extract romfs and exefs and recompile them into .3DS and .CIA files?

Honestly, when I want to mod a 3ds game I use New Super Ultimate Injector's Extract/Rebuild CIA options. First I dump my game from the cart or digital installation with gm9, And sometimes even the files I want to edit by mounting the game and copying the files I need so i check them out while...

Homebrew RETROARCH WII - Setting it up Mini Tutorial.

Is there a way to easily change between Classic Controller and GC controller while both are plugged/turned on? Because that's one thing that always makes me very annoyed as it always wants me to unplug the GC controller to even recognize the Classic one, which is the one I use the most on RA...

PS1/2 Emulator WiiStation - Another Fork of WiiSXRX released

Depends on your tastes and each game's resolution. SOTN is a rare case because it changes resolutions very often (title screen, intro section, main gameplay, ingame menu, etc) and that makes the video output blurrier if it's using a thinner horizontal resolution, as this emulator expects a...

    Homebrew SpotPass Archival Project announced

The process is very simple and you have to do very little. Even if you do not have not done much online with your 3/2DS system, please consider it. It's as close as effortless as it can, if you have a wirless connection set up in your console. I have no Wii U so I don't really know the process...

Hacking Best Way to Mod Any Wii: ModMii for Windows: Official Support Thread

I tried out of curiosity to put my syscheck and Modmii suggest to install a bunch of IOS that I've never dealed with. 11,20,30,31,36,40,50,52,60,62,70, 80 and some stub IOS as well. Is it really necessary? I've been using the system perfectly fine. Looking around for example, IOS11 was used...

How does one put Mods on their 3ds for games

Usually you use the LayeredFS feature to make the system read specific files (the modded ones) from a folder while the rest is being looked at the usual location. Similar to Riivolution on Wii. The thing is that depending on what is being changed, LayeredFS might be too slow and cause stutters...
