Not too bad! Busy as hell, between kid, work, and game dev. But I have some really fun stuff in the works :) Finally working on an original game again, for the first time in ages.

Hacking Atmosphere-NX - Custom Firmware in development by SciresM

We have accepted donations in the past, but only for very specific things. Donations can rapidly produce obligation, and no one in ReSwitched wants that, so we've kept it to the absolute bare minimum.

Hacking fusée gelée -- coldboot proof-of-concept for the Tegra X1

Trust me, nobody in ReSwitched knows. The most we can do is guess.

Nobody knows. F0F hasn't released the details of their exploit.

This isn't exploit code -- there's nothing to patch out.

Hacking Question I got kicked from the discord and I really don't know why

Your handle was assumed to be a reference to Plailect, one of our mods. This, combined with the fact that the account was brand new made it seem like an obvious troll account. Having looked at your post history here as well (all comments on threads complaining about ReSwitched) makes me think...

Homebrew WIP Experimental Switch emulator in C#

This is ... just woefully misinformed, for a number of reasons. A few of them: .NET carries overhead, certainly. However, the overhead when in unsafe code (directly accessing pointers) can be unbelievably low. Translation overhead is going to be higher than an emulator written in C++ -- no...

Homebrew WIP Experimental Switch emulator in C#

Holy shit, this is awesome. I've always been a huge proponent of targeting CIL for recompilation -- I'm excited to see someone else doing it too! Very nice job, and good luck going forward.

    Homebrew RetroArch Switch

If my approach works (which I'm getting closer to 100% on every day), we'll get desktop OpenGL, OpenGL ES, and Vulkan all at once. As far as I'm aware, the delay has absolutely nothing to do with my GPU stuff whatsoever, and I can't imagine any reason why it would be related in any way.

Hacking What are YOU hyped about?

Well, I've been pretty publicly working on it in the Reswitched Discord :) Basically, I'm taking the Linux Tegra userland stuff and wrapping it to work on the Switch. If it works (which I'm fairly confident in, at this point) it will give full desktop OpenGL, OpenGL ES, and Vulkan support for...

Hacking What are YOU hyped about?

Right now, I'm super hyped for 3d support. I'm really hoping I can get it working to a decent extent over the next couple weeks!

Hacking Question Reswitched Discorders Please Read

You claim that you didn't know it was a no-no. Except that in the rules you were required to read and acknowledge, it states: "Absolutely no piracy. There is a zero-tolerance policy and we will enforce this strictly and swiftly." That is the one zero-tolerance thing on our server, for legal...

Hacking Question Reswitched Discorders Please Read

You already appealed to one of the two people who could unban you (me). The other person is more adamant about preventing this kind of thing than I am. You're not coming back in. You knowingly broke the rules repeatedly. You are the exact person we don't want there. Please do not rejoin.

Hacking qlutoo got a talk at 34c3's console hacking/security section!

I know, right? It's crazy how we expect you to read and accept rules, then ban you when you violate the literal only one that's zero-tolerance. From the rules: "Absolutely no piracy. There is a zero-tolerance policy and we will enforce this strictly and swiftly." In other words:

Nah, I mean I'm not actively doing Switch hacking anymore. I'm still running ReSwitched and I'll occasionally help out with tool development, but I'm done with it on the whole -- I accomplished my primary goal, so I've moved on to other projects.

I'm around, just not doing Switch stuff really. Also, I have a kid due the day after CCC starts, so that's never been in the cards :p

Hacking Clearing a few things up

To be completely clear, though, this isn't the sole reason or main reason -- I'm not sure there is a main reason. It's certainly why I don't want to run ReSwitched anymore; it's not a toxic cesspool, but only because we've been diligent as hell and have enforced tight constraints on the...

It's not the movies or games downloads that I would worry about, like breaking into networks, downloading encrypted things, spying on network traffic. I have seen so many "Top Secret" seals on files when I was a kid

I was obsessed with finding UFOs, a surprising amount of US files where stashed on computers in other countries, China back in the early 90s omg sooo much
