    they did the same thing with the tony hawks 1 + 2 remake - luckily, the final game (and the demo) were both great, but this is an awful trend. it's basically done to bolster shareholder confidence.

    my thoughts exactly - i very much doubt that nintendo would block off a huge percentage of the existing switch userbase anyhow - they've released an accessible piece of kit with a large catalogue that's selling extremely well globally. shrugging everyone off a year from now would be absolute...
