    Movian M7

https://apps.movian.eu/ This underwent a big change recently, swapping in up-to-date ffmpeg code. The expectation would be that this would improve performance, however, that's up against the PS3 having a weak CPU like a 1990s Pentium 3. It does H.264 decoding in hardware and doesn't seem to...

Quake 2 N64 unplayable glitching in both Not64 and Wii64

The Wii64 Rice build comes closest to making Quake 2 N64 playable, however, both Not64 and Wii64 have glitchy unplayability. I now realise this is probably because detecting the expansion pak causes it to go into an interlaced video mode. Is there any way of modding the ROM to remove expansion...

    N64Blur on Not64 and Wii64

https://consolemods.org/wiki/N64:N64blur#Option_2:_Patch_ROM_files I had a quick go with u64aap044.zip. Removing anti-aliasing from N64 ROMS definitely makes them look better and perform better on Not64 and Wii64.

Something I've noticed about both Not64 and Wii64

https://github.com/saulfabregwiivc/Wii64/releases/tag/latest Something I've noticed about both Not64 and Wii64, a lot of the time PAL N64 ROMS run better. Duke Nukem Zero Hour on Saulfabreg's build of Wii64 is an example.

576p on component on Wii U

https://github.com/SuperrSonic/WiiMC-SSLC This has a 'Force 576p' option. On HDMI, that's what I get if I set the Wii U to output 480p. On component cables, it instead outputs 576i. Ideas?

Feedback sought: Moonlight Sonata Visualiser Video

Am working on visualiser videos for all 60 tracks in the album. This is the first. There's nothing stopping me from doing another one for Moonlight Sonata and / or doing a different one for that track on a loop for an hour. Am also sitting on a fair bit of other piano music for which I own the...

I hate ordering stuff online if I can go buy it somewhere close to me, and everywhere anymore will give you a discount only if you order it online, bs. Should be a discount if I go pick it up, not order online.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I love it for most things most stores you just shows the receipt online and they scan it

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Makes it easy for incompetent restaurant staff that don't know how to hear an order
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Mostly for big purchases, I want it in my hands before I pay. Like a tv, I trust picking it up myself, before I'd trust it being sent thru mail/delivery. (Broken screen, etc) But yea if I can order online, then pickup at store is ok, but not all places offer that.

Thing is, if you break it driving back to your house, it's your fault. But if the delivery driver damages it, it's not your fault.

Most people that haul big tvs have empty trucks or know enough not to set it face down
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Then I gotta send it back and wait another week or two. I have a pickup truck, with a extended cab, so no prob for me.
