I don't know why this gives me a "The Truman Show" vibe.
Like being in a bunker with rerouted internet thinking it's still 2007 out there.
Hmmm... sound like a fun social experiment...

Yeah, this is more of a fun experiment to watch YT videos on a PC that is at least two decades old.
Which helps with explaining the history of computing stuff. The FPGA work which has happened with MiSTer FPGA is preserving the capability to run 8-bit / 16-bit software as those systems will inevitably deteriorate to the point where it'll be too difficult to run them.

ZX81s were made from cheap / nasty components, meaning it's soon enough going to be difficult to find them in a working state and it'll be harder and harder to repair them.
