    Nintendo Wii troubleshooting question

I have checked locally and the cost to repair the Wii is higher than it's worth so I won't go that route. I will buy another used one before I do that. I'd still like someone to chime in on my original 2 questions if anyone has some knowledge on this issue.

    Nintendo Wii troubleshooting question

Yes, I have tried multiple TVs using RCA cables as well as a Wii HDMI converter. That doesn't seem to be the problem. I meant to say Bluetooth module (which is attached to the main motherboard) instead of Bluetooth adapter. I corrected my original post. Sorry for the confusion.

    Nintendo Wii troubleshooting question

Hello, I am still trying to troubleshoot a Wii that has no display and have a couple of questions that I am hoping someone can answer. First of all, my Wii (no modifications) has no display. I put in a new Bluetooth module but that did not solve the issue. (I ordered it online and have no way...

Looking for help with Wii no signal issue.

Well even the less expensive ESR meters appear to cost as much as a used Wii, so that wouldn't make much financial sense I guess. If they were just regular capacitors, I think I could handle that ok as I have done a few before. I watched a video where a guy had trouble de-soldering those...

Looking for help with Wii no signal issue.

Thanks for the photo. From what I read elsewhere, I think you are correct that those are the AV caps. It is my understanding that to test caps, they need to be removed from the circuit (de-solder from board) which I would rather not do, I have soldered parts to a circuit board a few times...

Looking for help with Wii no signal issue.

Thank you for the video suggestions. I have watched several videos but I guess I have not seen these two. It looks like I should go ahead and check the connection on the WIFI board which means I will need to disassemble further than I have so far. I was trying to avoid that if possible as I...

If you get a chance to get a Pi5, get it, its like 3 times as fast as the Pi4 for Emu. GameCube and Wii games even play well.

Not sure if it would behoove me, mines that B model with 8GBs of RAM got mine OCed to 2GHz and the only two games I found that might work better N64 Killer Instinct and PSP Motor Storm Arctic Thunder
