What exactly is the problem with the "aspect ratio" with the Picodrive on official Retro Arch?
@Maeson The problem is no aspect ratio on official RA Wii does fit to the center of the screen (unlike RA-HEXAECO that actually does that).

Libretro RA Wii:
Runs almost at 100% speed but the screen position is weird and it's uncomfortable and mistaking for me

@SuperrSonic's RA-HEXAECO
Runs a bit slow (sometimes lowens to 23 FPS) but it has perfect screen position

Maybe @SuperrSonic needs to update the RA-HEXAECO PicoDrive core for fix those slowdowns not present in RA-Wii and the SRAM save fix... :)

i mean speed. no slowdowns and screen centered of course
The PicoDrive core of official Libretro RetroArch Wii runs almost flawlessly in terms of speed.
Most 32X games (including Knuckles' Chaotix) runs at 59-60 FPS during most of the time ;)
But there still are a few issues with that.

RA-HEXAECO's PicoDrive core still needs to be updated for fix those slowdowns and FPS drops that official RA Wii doesn't have

I've added it to my builds, it takes a while to load and compressed roms are extracted to your sd/usb. The overscan setting only works vertically so tiled rendering is useless but I've included it anyway.
Can you please fix the button inputs i can't fix my buttons correctly when im playing mk2

Do you know which version of RetroArch has this core?

I'm using 1.7.6 for all my cores (literally tested all versions of RetroArch and I've found 1.7.6 to be better than 1.8.X / 1.9.X / 1.10.X, etc in teems of stability and sound fidelity)

i'm using v1.9.14, but sometimes i use latest RA Wii, too (v1.15.0).
Nice.
Asking because, this past sunday decided to update my cores, because, again, I'm stuck at 1.7.6.

Found different sound issues and incompatibility with MAME 2003 Plus cores issues with newer versions, it varies.

But according to my tests 1.10.X works with MAME 2003, so it shouldn't break compatibility if I use 1.9.14.

Thanks! :yay:

I know the early working Pico core releases supported CD and also had CHD support. The latest versions i included in the WFL plugins pack do not support CD at all. It is not a big deal though since this core should only be used for 32X games anyhow. I recently tested 1.10.1 - 1.15.0 and CD support was broken on all. Not sure exactly when CD support was broken but i believe 1.90 or 1.91 was the last working release i remember.

MAME 2003 Plus...
as i said, i'm collaborating a bit with Libretro/RetroArch/MAME2003+ teams for having an official Wii version, via split cores.
You can follow the conversation here ;)
https://github.com/libretro/mame2003-plus-libretro/issues/1416
Holy **** you guys made a lot pf progress in just one week.
Read everything and I'm excited and impressed!

The thing with RetroArch/LibRetro is that they are not bothering anymore with the Wii.
Years ago when I began testing RetroArch builds I was reporting them the issues (I think it was when 1.8.5 was brand new/latest) and officially said the same:
THEY said:
...we currently have a dev with this system to help get it up and running.

So of course the Wii is unatended, I mean, RetroArch is been broken in Wii since 1.9.10 onwards and it's a hit or miss thing with newer versions (Also found incompatibility issues with different cluster sizes INDIVIDUAL TO HAVING FAT32)

But I'm glad to see RetroArch Arcade emulation improved, considering the Wii is probably the lastest console being compatible with CRT's.

If you guys need beta testers, I could do it.

I have a spare 16GB SD so I could test builds and roms without problems.
