Hardware 3ds 3d screen repair question

Okay, so I got this 3ds XL off of ebay a while back and they had pictures of the thing's screen and everything. They said that the screen was in pristine condition and all that, but when I got it, there was a kind of deep noticeable scratch on it, and a few other lighter scratches.

I was wondering what kind of polish should I use if any at all to make them go away, and to those who have actually tried polishing the screen what were your results? Did it make the screen like new or did it make it worse? Please help me out here. D: I've searched through google and all I got were vague answers or none at all.

Top screen or bottom screen? The top screen has a thick black&clear plastic cover you can pry off. The touchscreen is a little trickier to replace.

You can replace that plastic cover.

I've used high percentage rubbing alcohol to clean the plastic cover for the upper screen on normal-sized 3DS consoles. It helps clean, but it won't remove an actual scratch. It doesn't damage it. However, I've never done this on an XL.

Reminds me of the PSP, but for that I almost always had to just change out the faceplate to solve it.

You can buy the xl lens off ebay £5 in uk, Or buy 10 for something daft like £2 a piece off aliexpress.
Would love to find a place which did the standard 3ds lens though if anyone has any ideas
