@TurdPooCharger , I am new with doing CFW for 3DS. And I would like to thank you a lot, that this helped me alot and it was easy to understand.

However, for the CFW starter kit - 02.20.2020.7z .. there were so many apps.
I wonder if you a have a list of what each apps does. Thanks.

Also, with my N3DSXL now CFW configured. Can it still connect on the Internet? Since there was a WIFI Manager app I have saw on the CFW Starter Kit. Thank you.

Click on the spoiler's Update Changes Log to visit and learn more about the individual apps' release and about pages.

You should be able to use the Internet. WiFiManager specializes in handling more than 3 wifi profiles.

I've followed everything in this guide however when i insert my SD Card, my blue light just fades out. - If i remove the SD Card i boot into the home menu, but when i try anything it just crashes. Any help?

Gotta double check.

Without the SD card inserted, turn on the 3DS and hold the (SELECT) button. Does Luma3DS v#.# configuration shows up? If so, what version is it?

Yes, version is: 9.0
  1. Copy everything off your SD card.
  2. Follow step 1C for thorough reformatting.
  3. If you already scanned that emptied out card in H2testw, you can skip checking it again.
  4. Put only Luma3DS v9.1 or v10.0.1 on the card; do not add anything else.
    • sdmc:/boot.firm
  5. Insert the SD card into the 3DS, turn the system, and hold (SELECT) button.
Does Luma3DS v9.1 configuration or Luma3DS v10.0.1 configuration appears, or does the 3DS still fails to boot with the SD card?

Can I just use KDE Partition Manager instead? I mean, it totally worked for me when I upgraded my SD card.
Are you a Linux user? Do whatever it takes to reformat the SD card in the correct settings that works for the 3DS (ie, FAT32 format | 32 KB cluster size | MBR disk | Primary partition ). You don't have to limit yourself with those programs listed in post #2.

I've installed 10.0.1 and it confirms this within the configuration menu.
6. Copy back everything to your SD card.
  • Note: the sdmc:/boot.firm found in the 'CFW starter kit' contains the older Luma3DS v9.1. Replace with v10.0.1 if needed.
7. Because you had Luma v9.0, your CFW setup might be slightly old. See Updating B9S.
  • If you added the 'CFW starter kit' to your SD card, it will already contain all the necessarily files to update.
8. Update the CTRNAND Luma3DS with the newer v9.1 or v10.0.1, whichever one that was on the SD card.
9. System update to 11.130.45[J/U/E/K/T/C] firmware.

System updating is done from either the System Settings or Recovery Mode.

From your post #23, when you stated that you did everything in this guide (post #2), did you make sure to hardware test your empty SD card with H2testw?
Because of the freezing that happens in HOME Menu, this could be due to a fake or dying card where your 3DS is reading garbage or corrupted data.

Another possibility for the crash that's commonly found on [ o3DS / o3DSXL / o2DS ] is that the WiFi board pops off or loosens itself. Is yours a o3DS or o3DSXL btw? If it is, see if setting the WiFi switch to (OFF) has the o3DS(XL) boots and runs more stable.

Yes i'm following that guide using the O3DS EUR magnet.
In case the o3DS still doesn't system update to 11.13E after trying standard CTRTransfer, disassemble the o3DS and reseat the WiFi board.
A philips screwdriver size PH #00 is required.
If it still crashes, the WiFi board might need to be replaced.

There's the possibility previous failed system updates and/or CTRTransfer(s) produced a frankenfirm (semi-bricked 3DS firmware). See if the alternative CTRTransfer (Type D9) - CTRTransfer helps any. Carefully read and follow that page's Instructions.

:!: Be aware that this particular CTRTransfer should not be done with a bad SD card. Please H2testw that card if you have not done so already.

I used to drink alcohol fairly often. Never to the point of it being a problem, but like 2-3 beers with dinner each night, or a few cocktails or glasses of Scotch or something. Started smoking/vaping weed a lot a few years back which killed 90% of my interest in booze. Now I stopped smoking/vaping weed as much and just deal with life the boring way most of the time
