Hello everyone!
So recently, whenever I'm playing a game on the 3DS, it crashes.
A few months ago, these crashes were rare and would resolve itself after I reinserted the SD card. The screens would turn black a few times, then never again for the rest of the day. Because of that, I didn't pay much attention to it.
Nowadays though, it crashes more and more often that I'm unable to start a game without worrying that it'll crash. The time it took for the screens to return to normal started becoming longer. After a while, Luma started displaying the ErrDisp error message every time the screens turned black. Just a few days ago, the screens turned black before Luma could display the ErrDisp error message properly and stayed black until I restarted the 3DS.
I talked to the person who sold me the 3DS (and SD card + adapter) about the issue, and they said that the problem was that my SD Card adapter was faulty and would need to be replaced. Their explanation was that the 3DS couldn't read and write onto the SD card properly due to the adapter (It still works with my laptop though). They also said that I would have to turn off the Wi-Fi switch every time I used the 3DS. I was confused as to why that was so and asked them about it, but they never gave a proper answer.
I'd just like a second opinion about this. Judging from what's happening, is it true that the problem lies with the SD card adapter and is it essential that the Wi-Fi switch needs to be turned off?
