Harsh but true: if you aren't an idiot you shouldn't brick. Good luck ;)
This, lol. If you do everything right you shouldn't brick, there's a very low chance of anything out of your control messing up. There's been a lot of testing done on the vital applications needed to do the procedure since they touch important parts of the system, and they have caused few to no bricks. Just follow the guide and you'll be fine.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Oh yes I noticed it is not as easy as it was with the R4. I'm willing to pay for a flash card if the chances of bricking are slimmier. What do you think?
(Still I'm going through the guide you linked me to check if it's in the realm of my abilities lol)
The guide takes a while to follow but it's really just basic instructions and not too confusing as long as you have basic computer knowledge. The chances of bricking with a GW are really about equal to using a CFW.

I am soft reseting for an oras starter (15k atm Q_Q)

Sometimes i read in twitch chat to start a new game file after 200 or so SRs.

Why is that? Is it trolling or is there something i dont know?

Looking for help... My friends O3DS is updated to v11.

I read the running OoTHax may work. Is this true, if so, what are the files needed to get it working?

To get oothax to work you need a Powersaves or a 3DS also with the HBL, you can't just install it. Also note that on v11 oothax typically takes MANY tries to load.

I have Powersaves, but I'm having trouble understanding what to install on my OoT and if the SD card needs something on it to prompt HBL.

Alright, I was able to get OoTHax working on O3DS XL 11.0.0-33U. But when I get to the Homebrew Launcher and try to downgrade...

PlaiSysUpdater freezes at
"HAX INIT"

and

sysUpdater:
"TitleException:
main.cpp148: Result: 0xD900182F
Failed to get CIA file info!"

What's to do?

Is it for 3DS cart too, export/import? :)

What do you mean by that? Is just a save manager, it won't copy rom dumps or create cia files from game cards just manage the save data on them and other titles on your system

If you wanna do that, you need uncart thingy and then dump the rom to the sd card then use some xorpads from your system to create a cia for you to install.

I have Luma3ds CFW with a9lh, and everything set up according to Plailect's guide. Luma3ds was just updated.

Recently, I inserted a retail cartridge of Smash Bros. It said there was an update available for the game, and I told it to go ahead and update, thinking that the CFW had enough safeguards in place to prevent anything bad from happening. Then, it gave an error message in the middle of the update, and exited back to the home menu. On the home menu, all of the CIAs I had installed are now gone.

How can these be recovered, and how can this be prevented in the future?
Thanks

I think you misunderstood me, sorry I should've been more clear about what I said. So essentially a save manager inside FBI its self? Exporting/importing saves from both digital/physical carts? I know how to dump games and stuff. :)

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

I used butter instead of vegetable oil, and think that's why they squirted out during baking, who knows

yeah i think oil is the right call

plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.
