This program retrieves the latest 3DS System Version from Nintendo's CDN. You can check the latest update for each region: Europe, Japan, USA, China, Korea and Taiwan.

NOTE: This program requires an internet connection (obviously). It isn't required to use this program in cmd, you can just double click on the executable.

Q: 3DSGuy why did you make this? It seems pointless.
A: TBH I was bored, and I thought it would be useful to know if an update was *really* available when those "New update X.X.X-XU AVAILABLE!!!" threads are posted. I can also double check the actual region versions when Nintendo decides to be inconsistent with update versions across regions, like when Nintendo released 6.0.0-10U and 6.0.0-11E/J/etc at the same time.

Case-sensitivity hurts. :(

That said, the ability to grab the various region version numbers is a good enough reason for this.
I had a funny feeling the case-sensitivity was going to bug someone, don't worry that's fixed now.

Could it check multiple times in a run before closing?

Can you provide an alternative version that brings this back? I had just gotten used to it O_@ I miss it already.
I think I get it.

Updated, you can now check multiple regions, closing must be elected by the user. Or do you mean to show all six at once?

dont suppose it would be possible for the program to notice the titles have changed
so we know if it has a DS firmware title update or E-shop title update or both sort of deal?

The program would have to know what the version was, and store that value, to check against an update. It's possible, but it would only be useful for detecting changes in FW updates released after the user first used the program
