I’m using

163.172.141.219", and secondary DNS to "207.246.121.77

Is it better to use the primary for both? I’m using for both sets of numbers I’m in eu?

90dns doesn't seem to be working any more. (the us server atleast)

I believe the france fallback server still works to a degree.

@AveSatanas So this would in theory make it safe to run a CFW while connected to WiFi.... Would this make it safer to do so with NSP files installed too? I'm wary about NSPs for this reason. I know it's not bullet proof, but safeER right?

It appears that the NA server does work now.

Lol don't know why it posted twice.

It does work for me though, my Switch won't connect to Nintendo services but will connect to homebrew stuff like the HB Store.

Smash seems to hang on loading (maybe every game does this?) unless I have airplane mode on but IDK if that's normal behavior or not since I just started using this.

Have you tried the 90DNS tester from the HB Store? I have just tried it and it says "unblocked". I have Incognito so I personally don't care, but I really want to know if the 90 DNS tester app doesn't work or something.

Can I have the word? I think why online games don't work on 90DNS is maybe one of the the following reasons:
  • 90DNS, as your consoles cannot connect to Nintendo servers, they can't connect to neither Nintendo Switch Online (which, in my opinion, it's obvious) nor online play (without NSO)

I'm interested in how you did that blocking? Maybe with a iptables rule you're blocking the AS11278 for Nintendo of America? A Linux or BSD machine should do the job.. there are over 2500 ip-addresses assigned to nintendo of america. A bash script to collect the actual ip's of AS11278 to automatically renew them.. blocking them all should do the job for the switch in the us. The same thing for the rest of the world and it should work.

I would appreciate your info :-)

Check out the selfhosting contents, you should be able to figure out of that way. Not an iptables rule, but dnsmasq.

For a kids aspect Anbernic would be the better option they'd probably melt over the price on a good 4k display

For that texasroo guy, I'd recommend the Spell and speak as his first system.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
So they buy a pi5 kit for about $150 and say a 28" 4k display probably looking around $400 total
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They'll be getting in the territory of portable Pcs anyway

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Again you get what you pay for, its like buying a S series for $300 but its only 1440p native, if you want true 4k, gotta get the X model for $500. But yea you right, when moms buying it anyways, you gotta stay cheap.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They could use HD out on their TV no real need for a monitor these days tbh the purists will disagree
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'm kind of phasing out on the need for wanting all these consoles cool to have but they just become dust build ups
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I here ya there, I have too many myself, and have hard time letting them go, since most of mine I've modded at some point. Anymore I just play Switch on the go, seriesx at home.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh totes , lol, like Tupperware storage, I gotcha
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'm designing my own entertainment cabinet for my man cave, to store all my systems, then I'm also designing a power supply/HDMI switcher so I can switch to whichever system I want, and power it also. Already picked up the cabinet board, but tinkering with my drawings before start
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
But yea, I have frogger arcade cabinet that I gutted and put a Pi4 then Pi5 into, but it never gets played much anymore, should sell it. Even when the kids come over, they don't want to play on it, just the xbox. TMNT and Simpson's arcade is still so fun on it, esp w 2 players.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Gonna check out the new Garfield looks like garbage
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:

  • T @ TheSusKing:
