ONCE AGAIN, THIS WAS NOT PORTED BY ME. THIS WAS PORTED BY DogParty. I TAKE NO CREDIT. original reddit post
More RetroArch cores have been ported to 5.X using libtransistor, which means this won't work on 4.X right now.
Download!
Choose the core(s) you want and place the NROs in the switch folder on your sd card.
Place ROMs anywhere on SD since RetroArch can browse it.
Sidenote, only tested a few of these.
List of Emulators:
fbalpha: general sega/arcade emulator
fceumm: nes emulator
gambatte: gameboy emulator
genesis: sega genesis/mega drive emulator
gpsp: gameboy emulator
handy: atari lynx emulator
mame2003: mame emulator
mgba: gba emulator
picodrive: sega genesis/mega drive emulator
prosystem: atari 7800 emulator
snes9x2010: snes emulator
tgbdual: gameboy emulator
vba_next: gba emulator
vecx: vectrex emulator
virtualjaguar: atari jaguar emulator
yabause: sega saturn emulator
Potential Bugs:
On Reddit, a user has said that he can't load any ROMs through gpSP or mGBA. So, try using VBA-Next for GBA games. (Apparently the missing BIOS might be the cause of this issue. I haven't tested.)
Doesn't work on 4.x as stated above.
NES Emulator (fceumm) has bad screen tearing issues in some games (Super Mario Bros. 1) and some have slightly higher pitched audio (Super Mario Bros 3.)
Genesis Emulator (Picodrive) appears to not like Sonic 1 and 2 (only games I've tested on this EMU). They load, but after about 5 seconds, completely freeze. Sonic 3 works. They are in ZIPs for me, so that could be the problem. I recommend sticking to PFBA for Genesis.
