Will the Case 2 patch, if downloaded by itself, include the Case 1 translation as well, or will it be a standalone patch that will only work towards Case 2? I know it's a long ways off, but if each separate patch requires being applied to a clean game, do you plan on making it so that we can jump directly to the new case for in case we've already finished the older ones? I mean, if the game ends up being about five cases long, it would be a bit of a chore ending up having to play Case 1 at least five times, Case 2 at least four times, etc.

Atleast with emulator you can use battery saves, so you don't have to start case multiple times.

For reference, nothing set in stone but for those who haven't joined Court Records, the team is loosely talking about releasing the first case around Christmas Eve.

I can understand that a spoke story change everytime that somebody tells it but the internet is something written so you could basically just copy/paste what somebody said and not change the contenent.

So let me straight somethings out.

In many internet sites has been written that the whole game translation will be releases on this Christmas:
Fake, we are far away from a complete translation.

what is situation at the moment then??
case 1 is ready to be released and case 2 is already being worked on.

will be there be a release for this Christmas??
Yes, we are not talking loosely about it but it's a plan. The only thing holding the patch back is me and my real life time. We will release a patch for case 1 only.

Why are you holding back the patch and not just release it??
There are 2 bugs still on the game, one is case 1 related (freeze the game on real hardware + DSTWO but work fine on emu) and the other is a matter with all the flashcards that don't support trimmed roms.

So what this mean for us who want to play the patch??
Well, first of all it will be more likely the 26-27 and not the 23-24 for the release.
We will open a thread here so that you all can report errors, problems, typos, etc...
Like i said there are still 2 bugs, i probably know how to fix them but I hope that when i fix them, i will not meet others. This and my real life time will decide what kind of limitations you will get with the patch.
Worst case scenario is that you can only play the patch on the emulator.
Better scenario is that you can play the patch only in some flashcards.
Best scenario, well you know it, play the game on every flashcards.

Glad to hear that the project is still alive and well. I'd love it if the patch for case 1 would come out soon, bt I understand that real life gets in the way. If you feel that patch isn't ready yet take your time, I'm more than willing to wait.

No, were not dead. Auryn is just super busy with 3 real life jobs
and I am inserting/testing case 2 currently. We're over halfway in case 2 already.

There are couple of bugs that make it freeze in real ds, but it works
fine in emulator. That's why we haven't released patch yet. Auryn
is working on those, when he has time.
