Suggestion Allow reviews of other categories to be posted

Game reviews are nice and all but it would be cool if users could post reviews about other things, such as movies, books, television shows, etc. just to add a bit of variety into the mix. Perhaps fit those under their own category and keep them as their own separate thing.

Movies and books and other media just don't fit in with GBATemp. We're a gaming forum, we focus on games and gaming news, not movies and TV shows (even when they're game-based they get a thread at most and that's it). If you want to review TV shows and movies and books, then by all means do so by creating a thread in the Books, Music, TV and Movies section.

But I'm not a reporter anymore, so it's up to tj_cool T-hug Foxi4 Ryukouki Qtis etc etc

Sadly, I don't think this is going to happen any time soon, mainly due to the nature of this site. As Tom said, even though he's not a Reporter anymore () it just doesn't fit in the overall theme of this site.

As Tom Bombadildo says, this is a gaming-oriented forum - I don't think we should really worry about TV series, movies or anything of the sort unless they're gaming-related. With that in mind, an "Other" category would be nice as a broad bin for anything that's gaming-related but isn't actually a game.

GBAtemp is a gaming related forum, not a everything related forum.
That's why relationship advice, house buying advice, what to eat advice etc threads are usually not taken seriously.

Like said before, keep temp a gaming related place.
There's other forums that focus on those things.

I guess I can do anime reviews but that would just reinforce the cruel, malicious and untrue weeaboo accusations at me.
