If you wanna be a scumbag, just go to Gamestop, buy a used Switch, swap the motherboards, and return the Switch for a full refund. There, unbanned Switch! That's if the last owner didn't hack his Switch. :P

Lol nice. A much easier way is to use USB killer and return for a refund/replacement

I think a lot of it might be luck as well. I've had my switch hacked since hekate has dropped. I've done almost all you could do to get banned short of playing online, and freeshop. I updated the official way to 6.0 update all game using the switch no nsp. Have custom nsps retronx. Still no ban

I disagree. This thread serves as a reminder that installing NSPs is a much higher ban risk than playing an XCI file. You know those TX haters love to pretend this is not true.

however title should read "be careful, installing NSP for 1 minute is not safe"...
I'm fine with TX and think that most people overreact when it comes to them, but using XCIs can still get you banned. It may or may not be "safer" than NSPs, but there's still a high ban risk either way.

The best way to avoid bans when running any type of backup on the Switch is to stay offline. If you stay online, you'll either get banned immediately or get caught in a ban wave. Since most people are always offline anyways, getting banned isn't even much of an issue.

Fucking with the Nintendo console at all (including something as simple as RCM'ing) at this point is prob going to fuck you when it comes to online communications.

I wouldn't be surprised in the future even doing a google search about hacking the switch through a browser would cause you to get banned.
Nintendo is going to end up getting sued, you can only go so far.

Was also banned. No NSPs. Just homebrew and my own personal XCI backups. Which, I'm believing the latter is what set me up. :o

Was also banned and used personal XCI backups. No NSP installation of any kind.

I can't check if I'm banned since I don't wanna update

But last time I checked( 2 weeks ago) I wasn't

I have gone online with NSP installed more times than I can count.
