Hacking Best Nintendo Ds Lite Clear Case Protector/Cover?

Normally I would pick Hori, as I have hori TPU cases for my 3ds xl and new 3ds xl, but the hori case available here has an image I find unattractive. I googled and found a case without a logo called
the "clear protect" by Hori sold at play-asia some time ago, but it is no longer available.

If anyone has a hori ds lite case (either this mario version, another image branded one, or the clear one) and has also tried these two generic off brand counterparts,
please tell me how the quality and feeling of the two differs.

Also if anyone would know if the image on the hori clear case mario edition can be removed, that would be helpful as well.
