Brief gameplay footage uncovered of the canceled GameCube Kirby game

Shown off at Nintendo's E3 2005 event was an upcoming platformer for the Nintendo GameCube. Called Kirby Adventure by some, the game never had an official title, and thus never got an actual release, having been silently canceled by Nintendo in the years after. The E3 trailer, which featured helpers and copy abilities seen previously in Kirby Super Star, was discussed for years after by fans wondering what could have been. Later on, when Nintendo released Kirby's Dream Collection, they included a description mentioning the game, saying that most of the elements that had gone into Kirby GCN's development would be carried over into what became Kirby's Return to Dreamland, which released six years after that trailer, for the Nintendo Wii.

This information is relevant, as some new footage has been uncovered for the canceled Kirby GameCube game. A YouTube channel by the name of Foulowe59 uploaded a 9-second video that contained never before seen gameplay shown off at Nintendo's booth from E3 2005. While short, it's yet another glimpse into the elusive nature of video game prototypes. The same channel had also uploaded another 9-second video earlier this year, which included a song that would later go on to be used in Kirby's Return to Dreamland.

I remember seeing screencaps of it in mags back in the day and was really looking forward to it.
So sad that the Cube only got the dissapointing Air Ride.
Air Ride is great as a party game with friends and family. But it's definitely disappointing as a Kirby game.

Can't remember the interview I watched some months back, but I forgot the dev's name at HAL Laboratory who spoke a/b how Miyamoto wasn't sure whether his dev team had what it took to bring Kirby into a 3D open world until "Kirby and the Forgotten Lands"...

There's something magical about the concept of a Kirby game that we all forgot / didn't know was going to happen. I feel like we just wouldn't get that from a franchise today. Who's going to forget a Kirby tech demo for the switch nowadays for us to uncover in 15 years?

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
