Hardware broken drive, what are my options?

unfortunately in a freak acident i dont't want to remember, my other wii drive is dead. So i've been finding ways to get back again.

easy solution for me is to buy a new drive, but seeing how much they cost and the how much it will cost to ship here at my location and the customs here are really an ass that charge a very high pirce for valuable high price parcel or stole your paarcel. for the mean time it's not my option.

so my alternative would be to buy a d3-2 motherboard. they come in cheap and customs here won't give a damn on unknown useless board to them. at least i can use some retail disc and some usb loading.

is there a drive clip of somesort that i can use as a replacement for dead wii drives so i can just go usb loading all the way? cause i know that usb loading needed a working drive. don't know which drive clip since they are tons of them like wasabi dx, sunkey lite, sunkey fusion, sunkey pro, wiikeyfusion, wode?

any other option?

Just use USB-loader. Bought a Wii with a broken dvd-drive for cheap and using it for a year now.
The DVD PCB isn't required for usb-loaders.

just tested the wii with no drive (pcb) attach and uloader, usbloader gx, cfg usbloader, doesn't work...

You could look into the WODE, SunDriver, and WiiKey Fusion.

your doing something wrong then, it doesnt need a disc drive for usb loading....I also use a wii with a broken drive and it works just fine from usb. operator error

and my drive board is busted as if its like there's no drive pluged-in even though it's connected.

thanks dialexo for sorting out usable modchips to use, there are buch of sun products that i get confused.
