I want to connect my wireless controller to my computer, and I found this receiver. I'm tired of using my wired controller because of the long cord that is in the way. Will this work for connecting a wireless Xbox 360 controller to my computer, or is it just another non-working third party device?

I have one of those official receivers. I've read about the official ones being defective, so instead of fixing the problem, microsoft opted to discontinue the product. lol! I think the problems are regarding syncing. I personally haven't had any issues though.
