Hacking Cannot access shop channel to download update for MW3

Hi, recently got MW3 and cannot update it because i cannot access the shop channel or accept user agreement on network config, to be able to recieve the updates.

I do recall this problem with COD 2 but cannot seem to get around it. I have updated all ios's n channels using modmii (fantastic program btw) but it seems it wont work unless i perform a system update and i dont want to do that in case it wont let me hack it again.

I am hoping someone else has had this issue and found a work around or is it something i am not doing???

u need to update the shopping channel and IOS56. It sounds like u already updated IOS56, but u need to update your shop channel as well (ModMii's download page 1). It's also evident that u haven't disabled updates using priiloader... that's an unrelated issue but something you should still address. Also, I'll say this just because it sounds like u are very new to this (evidenced by your "bootmii" and "hackmii" info from above, which doesn't make much sense)... you should make a nand backup if u haven't done so already. If u need help doing this, just ask, plenty of ppl will be happy to help

Hi Xflak, thank you for your response. I did a syscheck just for info.

I have again deleted, redownloaded via modmii page 1 ios56 and the shopping channel vs20 and re-installed using mmm and modmii.

priloader was uninstalled because i thought it was interfering with the connection issues. i have since reinstalled vs7,set the recommended hacks etc.

and it still wont work.

when i agree to the network agreement I get error messages such as

the shopping and wiiconnect24 service is not being offered at this time.

wiiconnect24 standby connection is currently turned off error code 109139

any ideas?????

the IOS56 u have installed is patched... and u didn't get that from ModMii unless u went into the advanced downloads section and actually told ModMii to patch it.

If u install a clean IOS56 from download page 1, it should hopefully get it working for u.

Thank you again for your responses.

When you mentioned that i must have patched the ios when i downloaded it? I forgot but I do recall patching ios's last week when i updated all of them using wiimod on the wii because it asks you by default if you want to patch it. Like a numpty i just said yes to all. doh !

So i have installed a clean ios56, but the problem still remains.......

So i re-loaded wiimod and went (with extreme caution) to the region changer advanced menu.

Upon accessing the menu, my shop channel code was 102 not 110 (UK), so i changed that to 110.

It also gave the option to change whether you had read and accepted the EULA agreement, i changed it to read from unread. Saved settings. Rebooted wii and voila! it worked

MW3 now lets me update online....

so thanks again xflak for your time and finding a way to the solution.

p.s i am intrigued as to what caused the shop channel code to be wrong and how the agreement became unread when it was as read previously.

what is in the update for COD? I have avoided it because I thought it may update my wii.

This update corrects the lag shooting problem and the corrupt file data errors. No wii updates required.

yep, an just for kicks, i did the zelda update(yes there is one on this game to). as far as i have read,an seen..both these updates didn't mess with anything.(no cios/ios were touched). all the updates do as far as i can tell, is make the wii+ controllers more responcive. i guess cause of the way you use the controller in zelda.(always moving around, when using as sword.).
still if you have the games an update is NOT required to play.) going online with mw3, is great just make sure shop channel an the ios is as vanellia as you can get them.( no patches or anything).
