hi, I've been trying to run cheats on Animal Crossing New Horizons but they do not seem to be working and when I go on Edizon via Album and select cheats I get an error code from atmosphere and have to reboot (see pic).
Here are the versions of everything used:
FW 11.0.1
Atmosphere 0.17.1
ACNH v1.6.0
EdiZon Snapshot build (released on 12/2019)
I updated the cheats database a few hours ago using AIO switch updater

Any ideas or solutions will be much appriciated!

You should use Edizon SE or Tesla overlay. The version of Edizon you used is too old. Hope it helps.

Broadly speaking there are two kind of hack. Memory hack and ASM hack.


The code you are looking at is ASM hack.
Another telltale sign of ASM hack is you need a undo hack. Simply turning it off do nothing.
Memory hack modifies a memory location the the program code writes to. So if it stop changing the memory good chance the program code will write it to what it was originally intended.
Program code gets loaded once and that is it. So when the code change it won't change back until you exit and relaunch the game.

There are posting on this forum on ASM hack (not from me). Search for them and learn from it.
The two tools that I know of is IDA pro and Ghidra https://github.com/NationalSecurityAgency/ghidra
Noexs is a tool for memory hack.

Yea it looks like all of the codes are ASM.

i've looked through this forum but i only found mentions of ASM and tried to find a tut on ASM hacking but all i found for ASM for certain games and then a reddit post that said it was not something for basic learners so i'll give up.

I am surprised there are no youtube tutorials on updating cheat codes after a game update..

I think it would be extremely beneficial for people watching this forum if someone were to make a youtube video showing how they would update their current cheats codes to work with the latest game update, covering floats and ASM.

i've learned a lot from reclaimer shawns videos and am confident i will be able to make basic cheats, but it did not cover ASM.

That version is known to not work with ACNH.
