Ok, so I restored my NAND after hacking my Switch to go back to going online without Nintendo finding out, and it turns out that in doing so, any save data I have that I got with CFW is gone. So all the save data goes right back to when I backed up my NAND.
Fortunately, I use Checkpoint to keep restoring my data each time I backup my NAND to cheat before restoring it. But what if I update a game (e.g. Smash Ultimate) to a newer version? Would I be able to restore a save on Checkpoint or Edizon that was made on an older version of the game, to the newer version of it? If not, that raises the problem of having to downgrade the game each time.
