Classic NES game no one knows about: Little Samso

Has anyone else tried this game? I was browsing through a NES rom collection with friends checking out how horrible some of the games were and then we found this gem of a game.

With a title like that it's obvious that it was a marketing flop but the gameplay is amazing.

It's a platformer megaman style (even copies the health bar) with 4 different characters you can swap into at any time. The main character shoots bells (think megaman pea shooter) and can climb walls and ceilings. The dragon can hover like peach in mario bro's 2 and has a megman style charge shot. The robot hits hard with his rocket punch and can walk on spikes. The mouse has metriod bombs and can squeeze into smaller areas.

If you are a fan of the megaman/metrioidvania/cave story type of game, check it out!

Its sad that this game never got the popularity it deserves...the controls are spot on and it incorporates so many great aspects of other games.

You can find health upgrades for each of the characters and even potions to restore their health mid-game like energy tanks in megaman. Each character can carry 1 potion. The characters have a max HP cap though so the golem still has the most life at the end
